🦒🐒 Our Pitlochry residents had a roaring at Blair Drummond Safari Park this week.

Despite a chilly start (and plenty of blankets!), the sun soon came out as we explored the park. Highlights included the sea lions and penguins.

The residents especially loved watching the tigers leap across the water and had lots of laughs visiting the giraffes!

They also enjoyed driving through the safari, spotting animals up close, and even braved the monkey enclosure… thankfully the bus made it out with the window wipers attached! 🐵🚐

A brilliant day all round, full of laughter and lovely memories.

Our team and residents at Coupar Angus Care Home in Perthshire proudly marked the Mental Health Foundation's Wear It Green Day last Thursday. 💚🎗

The day began with thoughtful conversations about mental health and the simple things that lift our spirits, followed by a lively concert in the lounge with local musician Peter Mucha, who had everyone singing, dancing and thoroughly enjoying themselves.

Activities Coordinator Louisa shared: “We spent the morning talking about the importance of mental health and what boosts our mood – music, dancing and of course spending time with the gorgeous dogs who visit, were firm favourites. It was wonderful to follow that with an activity everyone could enjoy so much.”

Residents at Clement Park Care Home in Dundee are always ready for a new adventure, and their recent Hawaiian-themed day brought plenty of tropical cheer! ☺

The home was bursting with colour, music and laughter as everyone came together to enjoy refreshing drinks from the trolley and delicious fresh fruit. 🌺🍹

The team joined in too in an afternoon of games, music, and a whole lot of joy in the home.

Our St Ronan’s Care Home in Dundee welcomed another collaboration with the city’s Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) team and Gardyne College Campus earlier this week.

The event brought together fellow care home providers and welcomed pupils from all St Paul's high school who are undertaking health and care studies, alongside health and social care students from Dundee and Angus College.

Now the second year of the event (and BCG’s involvement), Senior Home Manager Cheryl and Project Officer Robin were in attendance to speak about their experiences, particularly in their use of Electronic Medication Management (eMeds) and Person-Centered Software systems.

Both Cheryl and Robin were delighted to be a part of it!

Today marks Awareness Day, a cause held very dear to the hearts of our team at Rumbling Bridge Nursing Home by the Crook of Devon, which runs a specialist Huntington's Unit.

The theme of the campaign is 'Make A Move', which the team certainly did recently when they raised over £1,000 for the Scottish Huntington's Association with a sponsored walk around Loch Leven.

The home has once again been awarded great grades across the board for the standard of care they provide. So we asked Deputy Manager, Cat Steer, what's their secret?

🚴‍♀️ Residents at Rumbling Bridge enjoyed some wonderfully warm weather last week, making their tri‑shaw ride extra special. They took in the glorious scenery that Kinross has to offer before stopping for a well‑earned cuppa.

Later in the week, our French Experience Day quickly turned into a very popular tasting event!

Activities Coordinator Amie said: “Really, all we cared about was the wine and cheese! Residents indulged in eight different cheeses, red grapes, crackers, pain au chocolat, croissants, crusty bread, and of course, plenty of red and white wine. 🧀🍷

A lovely couple of days enjoyed by all!
