✨ This was the moment BCG Coupar Angus resident Dennis Arnold, 99, completed his month-long challenge to walk the equivalent distance to and from his new home to his old one. An absolute champion! He was cheered on all the way along Airlie Street and accompanied by piper, Lacey Colville.

Here he is with young pal (and fellow Beaver) Charlie Jackson. Also pictured are some of his friends from the town who gathered to see him walk the final stretch from The Singing Kettle to The Cafe in the Square. A huge thanks to all of his supporters over the past month. 🫶

As seen on STV News, the cover of the Blairgowrie Advertiser and featured as The Courier UK's Local Hero, BCG Coupar Angus resident Dennis Arnold is set to complete his walking challenge in his old hometown of Alyth tomorrow afternoon.

For all those generous souls who have donated and supported over the past month, feel free to join him on the last stretch at The Singing Kettle Cafe from 2pm, before moving on to the Square Cafe at roughly 2.30pm. Take a bow, that man!

Balhousie Coupar Angus Care Home

Around the grounds of the home, Dennis Arnold, 99, was aiming to walk the equivalent 28km distance from the home to his former residence in Alyth over the course of July month.
He is due to finish his marathon by the end of July.

He is coming to Alyth on Thursday to conclude his walk, and will be visiting us here and heading up the to square to enjoy being back for the day.

He’s aiming to be around 2/2.30pm and we will have our outside seating ready to cheer him on when he arrives.

We do have a sponsor sheet for anyone wishing to sponsor him before Thursday.
Well done Dennis!

The team at Stormont Lodge threw a fantastic Family Fun Day this past weekend, uniting their residents and families with members of the community. 🎈

There was a car boot sale, massive inflatable slide for the kids and goodies galore on the tombola. There was cuisine of all sorts, including special delicacies prepared by some of our Sri-Lankan staff.

Special thanks to everyone who came out and made it!

🕺🎵🎸 Well, our Pitlochry residents had a fantastic, fun-filled afternoon with the travelling Sing and Smile Duo recently, who roam the land with cheery songs all year round!

They brought their Popular Music Show, which featured songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s, which went down a treat.

They included comedy, dance and a lot of audience participation, making sure everyone got involved.
