Our fearless colleague Lee White 'swung' by the Charity Hub today to sign up for The Big Boogie Bungee — our 165ft bungee jump challenge happening on 27–28 June at the City of Peterborough Sports Club, all in support of the Hospitals’ Charity.

Lee is no stranger to our adrenaline‑fuelled events. He took on our 'Dare You Descend Abseil' last time… and yes, he’ll once again be jumping in full Lion mascot costume. Now that’s commitment.

HUGE thanks to Mark Field and RWE for their incredible £700 donation to our Acute Assessment Ward at Hinchingbrooke Hospital NHS.

Keen football coach Mark was brought into hospital by ambulance and, after being assessed in our Emergency Department, was transferred to the Acute Assessment Ward.

So impressed by the “thoughtful, caring and attentive” care he received, Mark asked his employer if they would make a donation to the hospital in thanks.

Mark said: “At what was an incredibly scary time, the ambulance crew, ED team and AAU put me at ease with their calm and quick professionalism. Even though they are run off their feet, they always had time to care for me and we are so lucky to have such brilliant people in the NHS. Their care was second to none, and I will be forever grateful.”

AAU Ward Manager Chanel Wilkins said: “We are thrilled to receive this generous donation and are very thankful to Mark and RWE for thinking of us. We will use the money to continue enhancing the experience of our patients and supporting the wellbeing of our brilliant team.”

Philip Fearn, Charity Project Manager for the North West Anglia Hospitals Charity, added: “It was great to meet Mark and to hear his warm words of thanks to the team at the cheque presentation. Thank you to him and his employer RWE for their thoughtful and generous donation.”

HUGE thanks to the City of Peterborough Sports Club for inviting us to join them in their upcoming summer festival and for their support of the North West Anglia Hospitals' Charity!!

CoPSC Summer Festival (26th - 28th June) - HOLD THE DATE

HOT OFF THE PRESS - We are thrilled to announce The Big Boogie Bungee! An 80s disco themed 165ft bungee jump taking place on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June at the sports club in partnership with the North West Anglia Hospitals Charity.

To take part, each of our boogie licious jumpers is asked to raise a minimum of £165. We’ll help you set up your Enthuse fundraising page so you can get off to a flying start — family, friends, colleagues and employers will have you stayin’ strong on your way to your goal! Huge thanks to Progress Health for sponsoring this event, ensuring every pound raised by our fearless fundraisers goes directly to supporting our cause.

There will be prizes for:
• Best disco themed outfit
• Highest fundraiser
• And of course, the most outrageous dance moves in our Disco Warm Up Zone — expect funky beats, big hair energy, and a whole lot of “don’t stop the boogie” spirit.

The money raised from this funky challenge will help us continue enhancing our hospitals — improving patient experience and supporting the wellbeing of our FAB U LOUS colleagues.

We’re feeling egg‑stra grateful today!
A massive thank you to Rachel and the brilliant National Gas team for donating Easter Eggs to our young patients and staff. Their initial goal was 200… but they actually turned up with over 300 yummy treats thanks to the kindness of their amazing colleagues. Thank you so much! We think you are all truly EGG‑Xcellent! 😀
