You may be wondering why you should bust out the essential oils when cooking in the kitchen. Well, the main reasons are convenience and flavour.
Ingredients
1kg chicken thighs (with the skin on and bones in)
1 drop rosemary essential oil
2 drops lemon essential oil
32g butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper
How To Make Lemon Rosemary Chicken
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Preheat a large cast iron skillet on the stovetop over medium to high heat.
Add the butter and essential oils to the cast iron skillet.
Once the butter is hot enough to produce a sizzle when the chicken hits it, add the chicken thighs. Cook them on one side until browned, and then flip.
Sprinkle the chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for one hour.
Serve next to crispy potatoes and a fresh salad, sauerkraut, or sautéed brussel sprouts.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a disorder characterized by intense fear, flashbacks, and anxiety after a traumatic experience. Over the last several years, researchers have performed various experiments to better understand what leads to PTSD. Leading theories include alterations in fear memory circuits within the brain, neurohormonal changes (catecholamine, serotonin, epinephrine, norepinephrine), exacerbation of inflammation in the peripheral immune system, and mitochondrial dysfunction.

A preclinical model of PTSD investigated the effects of essential oils. Inhalation of 25% orange essential oil prior to and after fear conditioning showed that orange oil helped subjects extinguish fear memory 48 hours after the fearful experience. Further evaluation found that orange oil balanced the neuroimmune response during recollection of a fearful event previously experienced. The research suggests that inhaling orange oil helps reduce inflammation associated with chronic stress and fear and may be valuable in the management of PTSD.

Cinnamon oil, one I use daily!

Cinnamon oil can have loads of health benefits, there’s lots of research out there for diabetes the list is long.

It blends well with all citrus oils, cypress, frankincense, geranium, juniper berry, lavender, rosemary and all spice oils, you could create your own perfume using some of these, I’ll have to try this sometime.

But the reason I use it daily is, because it’s sooooooo tasty in coffee, we add 1 drop to the coffee filter when we make a pot , it also makes the kitchen smell lovely 🤣

I’m doing an order (cinnamon is on it🤣) next week if you want to order anything and collect it from me or you can order directly from the website.

Lemon oil before dressage tests 🤔🤣

Test-taking can provoke anxious feelings due to the cognitive, emotional, and physiological strain it involves. Inhalation of lemon essential oil reduced test-taking anxiety in nursing students in a randomized clinical trial. Five drops of lemon essential oil were added to 100 mL of water in a diffuser and operated for 15 to 20 minutes prior to the subjects entering the room to take the test. In addition, subjects inhaled 3 drops of lemon essential oil added to a cloth attached to their collar for 15 minutes prior to the test. Based on all measures, it was determined that inhaling lemon essential oil reduced test-taking anxiety by 43.3%.
