Happy Birthday, Sonia!

Today we’re celebrating the wonderful Sonia, our brilliant dental hygienist and all-round superstar.
Sonia joined Umi Clinic with a wealth of experience, having graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh with the prestigious Tutor’s Prize, served 15 years in the Royal Navy, and built a career dedicated to preventing dental disease and promoting oral health.

She’s not just highly skilled (and highly sought-after!), she’s also a calming, caring presence in the clinic who puts every patient instantly at ease.

When she’s not helping our clients smile brighter, you’ll find her out on long walks with her two dogs or spending time with her lovely daughters.

* The health benefits of or***ms
Or**sms can improve sleep, mood, immunity, and even skin, hair, and cardiovascular health. They relieve pain (from menstrual cramps to migraines), reduce stress, and enhance intimacy and lifespan.

* The “or**sm gap”
Only about 16–30% of women or**sm every time during heterosexual encounters, compared to ~60–90% of men—this is the “or**sm gap”

* Faking it
Approximately 50% or more of women report pretending to or**sm at least once; rates range from 25–74% across studies. Faking it misleads partners and reinforces ineffective techniques. Honest communication, experimenting with stimulation, and sexual education help bridge the gap.
