‘From Zero to Hero’
Part of Wednesday nights ‘Team Change The Tape’ 💛
Our Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings ‘From Zero to Hero’ group consists of people looking to go from nothing to gradually building up, (in their own time), to running a 5k or 10k and develop a new healthy lifestyle. You can walk, jog or run and never be on your own.

CTT is also there to welcome those who already run at any other level, who just want to be part of something, safe, friendly and fun.

All this alongside like minded, amazing humans already changing their own lives.

This group isnt just about me running marathons. The ‘From Zero to Hero’ program on Wednesday nights & Sunday mornings are about YOU, changing your own tape to a healthier, more confident YOU 💛

👌 Come join the group and also help the charities we continue to support locally in Plymouth. This years are MND Plymouth Devon Mind Livewell Southwest

Change The Tape
A New Movement for Mental Health, Nursing Support & Domestic Violence in the Community of Plymouth.

At Change The Tape, we believe that real change starts with a single step—and we’re here to take those steps together.

What began as a grassroots movement rooted in healthy living, mental health awareness, and community support has now grown into something truly powerful. Based in Plymouth, our goal is to raise funds for local charities in mental health, nursing and domestic violence, and promote wellbeing through exercise and connection, and help people rewrite their own mental and emotional narratives—one tape at a time.

What we’ve achieved so far:
• In our first year, we raised just under £12,000.
• We supported the creation of a new staff and patient hub at The Lee Mill Low Secure Mental Health Unit.
• We funded 117 one-to-one counselling and emotional support sessions through Devon Mind, directly helping individuals in need of professional mental health support.

What we’re about:
Change The Tape is more than just fundraising—it’s a movement. It’s about:
• Healthy living and exercise as a form of therapy and strength.
• A safe space to meet, talk, and share.
• Support for one another through all of life’s ups and downs.
• Growing a community—we already have over 30 members and counting.

What’s coming up:
• Weekly Walk, Jog & Run meetups (1-5 miles) every Wednesday evening and Sunday morning—for all fitness levels.
• “Walk & Talk” events, including menopause support walks with medical guests.
• Social get-togethers that inspire connection and fun.
• Launching soon: 1:1 guidance, coaching, and therapeutic support for those facing mental health or domestic challenges.

We’re not just moving—we’re moving with purpose. We’re changing the conversation. We’re Changing The Tape.

So if you’re ready to move your body, lift your mind, and connect with a community that cares, we invite you to join the yellow submarine and Change Your Life by Changing Your Tape.

Imagine losing the ability to walk, speak, and even breathe on your own. That’s the reality for those facing Motor Neurone Disease, a cruel and relentless illness with no cure—yet ! On September 8th I started, ‘Running Year 2’ and have so far ran 2 full, 2 half marathons out of the 12 I’ll be running each month.

This Sunday I run The Cornish Full Marathon, number 3 in 3 months. Slightly later than planned I finally attach the ‘justgiving’ link at the bottom to ‘press on’ and share amongst yourselves, local businesses and business men/women to donate and raise funds to support essential care and groundbreaking research for people living with MND in Plymouth.

This fight is bigger than one person—it’s about bringing hope to thousands and pushing toward a future without this devastating disease. I invite you to stand with me by contributing to my JustGiving page. Every donation, every bit of support, brings us one step closer to breakthroughs that can change lives.

Let’s fight for a cure, for hope, for our Plymouth sufferers and a world free from MND. Thank you for your strength and generosity. MND Association Devon Mind Livewell Southwest Livewell Foundation

Iʼm raising money to support MND Plymouth (Motor Neurone Disease) in conjunction with Devon Mind & Livewell Southwest. Support this JustGiving Crowdfunding Page.

Please find the time to share…So finally I can properly announce the new yearly challenge is already underway. This morning I’m about to set off and do the Eden Project Half marathon 2/12.
After already running 2 full marathons and one half marathon these past 6 weeks, the ball is rolling and this year I am running a total of 12 full marathons, 12 Half Marathons in 12 month’s. Next month is number 3, the Cornish Full Marathon.
My aim this year is to help support, raise funds & awareness of Motor Neurone Disease locally, MND Association . A crippling disease affecting so many yet with very limited awareness aside from the recent Rob Burrows amazing journey.
I have a personal connection with this as my grandad passed away with this disease.
As you know, I set myself a project just over a year ago to raise £10,000 per year for ten years, from the age of 50 for various local charities. Last year I ran 50 Half marathons in 50 weeks and I raised just under £12,000 for Devon Mind Livewell Southwest. They were incredible in their support and the money raised has helped so many lives struggling with severe mental health trauma. Both will remain as split recipients 25% of each year’s donations to continue thot support, along with 50% each year now going to a new charity to give them the help they so desperately need.
You were an incredible bunch of humans last year so please continue to spread the word. Please keep supporting myself and Change The Tape as a group to raise monies and awareness.
I ask you all to please share this with any local business or business man/women you know to assist us in these challenges.
We have recognition now from ITV, BBC, Radio Devon, local tabloids and much more, along with a current nomination for Pride of Britain and so the publicity for local businesses could be huge through myself and those organisations.
Last year I received huge support and donations from these amazing people and their businesses John Schuttkacker Brendan Wavish Moorland Heating Limited Jon Pilkington Pilkington Estates Mark Tapp so please if you know someone keen to help then please talk to them asap.
If I’ve emailed or messaged you personally please have a think about how you could really change the tape of so many lives💛 Come be a part of The CTT Yellow Submarine. Let’s do this Year 2 💛

This bunch of souls put a smile on each others faces every Sunday & Wednesdays with CTT (Change The Tape💛). All age groups and levels welcome on a gentle walk/jog/run, each time sticking together. Well done this morning folks. As it gets colder, that is the moment to keep stepping into the uncomfortable. It can always feel tough to change, but afterwards will always feel better, an achievement and a definite life style change 💛
