Ever catch yourself scrolling… and suddenly an hour’s gone?

You’re not alone.

A lot of us fall into the trap… lying in bed, on the sofa, or even hiding in the loo for “five minutes”… just scrolling. News, reels, opinions, bad headlines, perfect lives. It doesn’t take long before it starts messing with your head.

Comparison. Stress. That low-level feeling that something’s off.

It’s not weakness… it’s how these apps are designed. But that doesn’t mean you have to stay stuck in it.

Try this today:
🔹 Put your phone down for 10 minutes
🔹 Step outside or change rooms
🔹 Message a mate instead of scrolling strangers
🔹 Notice how you actually feel before and after

Small changes make a big difference.

If your head’s feeling heavy lately, don’t just sit with it. Talk. We’re here for that.

💬 Man Down is a space where you can say what’s really going on, no judgement, no pressure.

Today is World Semicolon Day.

A semicolon is used when a sentence could have ended… but didn’t.

That message hits hard for a lot of men.

Too many of us are taught to keep things in, crack on, and deal with it ourselves… even when things feel heavy. But struggling doesn’t make you weak, and talking doesn’t make you less of a man.

If today feels tough, or if things have been building for a while, you don’t have to carry it on your own.

At Man Down, we’re here to listen — no judgement, no pressure, just a space to talk with people who get it.

And for everyone reading this, check in on your mates. A simple message can go further than you think.

Your story isn’t over; keep going.

Let’s talk about it

The DW Cup returns on Saturday 16th May

After such a successful match last year, Carl is once again bringing everyone together in memory of his brother Dan, following his tragic loss in July 2024.

This day is about more than football. It’s about raising awareness, breaking the stigma, and reminding every man out there that it’s okay to talk.

🕑 Kick-off: 2:00pm
📍 Location: Tavistock, Crowndale pitch

Please come along, show your support, and stand with Carl as we continue raising awareness for men’s mental health. If you can’t attend, donations are hugely appreciated for what is a truly brilliant cause.

Let’s stand together, support each other, and keep the conversation going 💛🖤

Big news for Tavistock and surrounding areas 👇

Our Tuesday night groups have been building something special 💛🖤 a space where men can show up, be real, and not have to carry everything on their own.

And now… we’re doing more.

From 16th April, we’re introducing fortnightly Thursday night sessions alongside our existing Tuesday group.

📍 Same place
👥 Same team
💬 Same no-judgement space

(And as always, a solid group of lads ready to listen)

In the photo: Steve, Nick, Rich, Troy, Rich — the faces behind the Tavistock sessions who are there week in, week out making sure no man walks in alone.

Whether you’ve been before or you’ve been thinking about coming along… this is your sign.

More opportunities. More conversations. More support.

No pressure. Just turn up.

👉 Please share this post, you never know who might need to see it today.

For the men who feel distant from their families... whether by circumstance, choice, or things left unsaid…

That kind of space can weigh heavy. It can bring loneliness, guilt, anger, or a mix of it all. Whatever you’re feeling, it’s valid.

You’re not the only one walking this path, even if it feels that way. And you’re not beyond support, understanding, or connection.

You still matter. Your story isn’t over.

Let's talk about it!
