ποΈ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month β a vital time to remind everyone about the importance of regular breast checks.
Performing a monthly breast self-check can help you become familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel. Thereβs no right or wrong way to do this; the key is to be consistent and attentive to any changes. Early detection plays a crucial role in successful treatment, so knowing your body is an important step in staying healthy.
If you notice anything unusual, such as lumps, changes in size or shape, dimpling of the skin, or any other concerns, please donβt hesitate to contact your GP.
Remember, breast screening and self-checks are complementary tools in maintaining your breast health. If youβre eligible, make sure youβre up to date with your breast screening appointments.
Your health matters β take time this October to check in with yourself and encourage those you care about to do the same.
Together, we can raise awareness and save lives. π
