Lately I’ve been coming back to the basics and spending time acknowledging my breathing, and crucially how my body feels in response to situations, people and things 🌸

Somatics isn’t about fixing or achieving. It’s just paying attention to what’s here, in the body, without trying to change it. The more I tune into it, the louder my intuition and gut instinct talks to me.

Sometimes simply noticing is enough 🍃🌿🌱

Parking:
Free use of the large car park 🚘

Turn into Bush Park and follow the road right to the end. You will see a large Sign in left Lynher House. Drive through the gates and into the carpark. You will see Plymouth Wellbeing Centre (unit 3) round to the left in front of you. You can then follow the signs around the side of the building to unit 4.

Spending time with camels in the Moroccan desert this week has made me think about Camel Pose in yoga. Just like camels are built to thrive in tough environments, the pose reminds us to open up and stay strong, even when life feels a bit eugh 🐫

Camel Pose (Ustrasana) is probably one of my favourite poses and is a classic heart-opening yoga posture. I’ve spent some time this week planning some chakra classes and Camel will be making an appearance in our heart opener class during the next few weeks 🩷🪷

✨ My Yoga Journey ✨

I started yoga a few years after a severe spinal injury - not to become super bendy or do fancy poses, but to reconnect with my body and find healing 💛. At the time, it was more about finding peace, strength, and a way to gently move again. Little did I know, it would completely transform my life physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Fast forward a few years, I moved to Plymouth, and found myself continuing my journey with the wonderful Karen at Plymouth Wellbeing Centre🧘‍♀️

🌿 That’s why it feels so special to now be offering my own yoga classes in that very same space, in my new hometown, where my journey continued. It’s come full circle, and I’m so grateful to share this practice with others.

💫 Yoga is for EVERY body. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or know what you’re doing. You just need to show up. Whether you’re healing, growing, or just curious, there’s a place for you in class.

It’s not about folding into a pretzel🥨it’s about unfolding into yourself. Yoga has helped me feel more alive, present, and at peace and I truly believe it can offer something powerful for everyone.

🕊️ One of my favourite quotes is: “Yoga is not about touching your toes, it's about what you learn on the way down.”

✨Through honouring yoga’s ancient wisdom, my classes invite a journey inward toward mindfulness and peace ✨

We move mindfully and at a gentle pace, taking time in each posture to build a solid foundation physically and mentally while placing special emphasis on the inner journey.

My intention is to create a space where you can slow down, turn inward, and reconnect with yourselves for a dedicated hour of presence.

Yoga, to me, is far more than physical movement; the poses are just one small element of a much deeper and richer practice.

There’s no competition or pressure in my classes only awareness, stillness, and self-acceptance.

Each class is an invitation to simply exist as you are, to move with purpose, and to explore the path of self-discovery through meditation and mindful movement.
