We are an expanding events company seeking reliable and professional ad hoc medical staff to support a wide range of exciting events, including festivals, sports fixtures, and private functions.

Requirements:

✅️ Must hold a recognised pre-hospital care qualification (e.g. FREC, EMT, Paramedic, or equivalent)
✅️ Must have a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to obtain one)
✅️ Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
✅️ Strong teamwork and communication skills
✅️ Ideally live with in 1.5 hours of Bournemouth

Role Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality first aid and medical care at events
- Assess and manage patients in a pre-hospital environment
- Work collaboratively with event teams and emergency services
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

This weekend marked an outstanding and highly successful deployment for our medical teams across multiple events. Ambulance 🚑 🚑 🚑

The highlight was the Woking Half Marathon, which saw over 5,000 participants of all ages take part in a fantastic day of sport and community spirit. 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️

Our teams delivered a comprehensive and dynamic medical response, with ambulances, Rapid Response Vehicles (RRVs), FREC responders on bikes, and a fully staffed paramedic-led treatment centre, ensuring the highest standard of care throughout the event.

A superb effort by all involved—another proud and successful operation for Phoenix EMS.

‼️ A moment to raise awareness ‼️

Due to the latest Meningitis outbreak in Kent resulting in 2 deaths, we would like to raise awareness for the signs and symptoms of this illness.

Meningococcal Meningitis can be a life threatening illness that requires immediate medical interventions. This is when the meninges which is the fluid covering the brain becomes infected with bacteria.

🚑 Meningitis can progress very quickly. Red flag Symptoms include

• Fever
• Headache
• Neck stiffness
• Sensitivity to light
• Altered level of consciousness
• A progressive petechial rash that looks like small bruises under the skin which does not dissappear when pressed with a glass.

⚠️ Attend A&E or call 999 immediately if someone has SOME or ALL of these symptoms.

Trust your instincts. This illness can effect people of any age, ethnic origin and s*x. If something doesn’t feel right, get medical help. Acting quickly can make all the difference.

Today marks International Women's day.

The ambulance workforce has been traditionally dominated by men, but times have changed and now women represent 42.5% of ambulance staff across all service roles. For UK paramedics. HCPC reports 41.7% of paramedic registrants to be female, and this number continues to grow.

Being a full-time working woman, the “work” does not just stop when we leave our shift. Many of us return home to families, children, and responsibilities that continue long after the uniform comes off. Yet we take it all in our stride, often without complaint, showing the next generation that with determination, resilience and support, it can be done.

In this industry we see people grow from first responders into qualified paramedics, and that journey reflects the drive, ambition and compassion that defines the ambulance profession.

Our manager here at Phoenix Jordan, along with her sister Bethany, both overcame the challenges of raising children while studying at university, juggling childcare alongside demanding day and night shifts. Today, they are both Band 6 paramedics working on the frontline — a testament to their dedication, perseverance and passion for patient care.

Their story is just one example of the strength and commitment women bring to this profession every single day. As the role of women in the ambulance service continues to grow, so too does the inspiration they provide to future generations who will follow in their footsteps.
