Most kids’ breakfasts aren’t actually setting them up for the day 😬

Toast covered in chocolate spread, sugary cereals, breakfast bars marketed as “healthy”… they spike energy fast - and crash it even faster.

A balanced breakfast doesn’t need to be complicated.
Healthy fats, protein + real food = fuller tummies, better focus and steadier moods.

Sometimes the simplest meals (like this 🥑 on toast) are doing far more for your child than the colourful packets ever could.

If your child is constantly hungry, tired, or struggling to concentrate… breakfast might be the place to start.

✨ Real food. Real nourishment. Real change.

Follow for realistic child nutrition support that works in real family life.

Happy to see my insights featured in Bournemouth Uni's journalism on a topic I'm passionate about. The article tackles an important question: 'Can UPFs Be Avoided on a Budget?' Understanding Ultra-Processed Foods (UPFs) is one thing; learning to navigate them on a budget is another. A great read by Grace Kehoe.

As families face rising food costs and growing concerns about ultra-processed foods, local nutrition experts say healthier eating is still achievable without breaking the bank.

⏰ Time for a routine reset!

Irregular meals, constant snacking and late bedtimes can quietly impact your child’s energy, focus and food choices.

A consistent routine helps regulate hunger cues, blood sugar and behaviour - without pressure or restriction.

Resetting doesn’t mean strict. It means supportive.

Many children don’t just ‘grow out of it’.
They end up growing into nutrient gaps.

Low energy. Big emotions. Poor focus. Constant sniffles.
Things we’re often told are “just a phase” or “normal childhood behaviour”.

But when a child eats a very limited range of foods (even if those foods are marketed as ‘healthy’), their body can quietly miss out on key nutrients it needs to thrive.

And here’s the worrying part:
👉 these gaps don’t always show up on the plate - they show up in mood, behaviour, sleep and energy instead.

Most parents I support have already tried everything:
• offering variety
• hiding vegetables
• buying the ‘better’ versions
• reading all the advice
Yet that uneasy feeling is still there.

My Nutrient Wellness Check helps take the guesswork out by looking closely at what your child is actually getting and what they may be missing - so you can support their health with confidence, not confusion.

If you’ve ever thought “something just doesn’t feel quite right”, trust that instinct 💙

New Year. New habits. Clearer answers.

If your child eats a very limited range of foods - or relies heavily on “child-friendly” snacks and meals - they may be missing key nutrients, even if they appear to eat well.

Low energy, big emotions, poor focus, restless sleep and frequent illness are often brushed off as normal childhood things…
but nutrition gaps can quietly play a role.

A Nutrient Wellness Check takes the guesswork out by reviewing your child’s diet and highlighting which nutrients may be lacking and where to focus to better support their health.

If you want calmer days, more balanced energy and fewer mealtime battles… start here.

Small nutrition habits make the biggest difference to little bodies.

✨ Habit 1: Swap one daily UPF for a whole-food option.
Even one simple swap a day can change mood, behaviour and appetite.

✨ Habit 2: Serve something green each day (even a tiny piece).
Exposure builds confidence - and reduces picky eating over time.

✨ Habit 3: Create predictable snack routines.
Goodbye constant grazing, hello steady energy and happier mealtimes.

If you’re ready to make 2025 the year your child feels nourished, I’m offering:
✨ £20 off all January bookings (whether you book now for January or book in January) until the 31st.
That includes all my packages: Weaning • Picky Eating • Nutrient Wellness Check • UPF detox support • General Support

✨ The best time to support your child’s nutrition is… now.

But let me say this clearly 👇
If “now” feels overwhelming, unrealistic or like one more thing on an already full plate - you’re not failing.
Especially at Christmas 🎄
More treats, less routine, busy days, tired parents…
This time of year is hard to start anything new and I completely understand that.

Most parents I work with want to nourish their child better, but real life gets in the way:
• picky eating
• busy schedules
• convenience foods creeping in
• conflicting advice everywhere
Small changes still matter.
Support still counts.
And you don’t have to do it perfectly to do it well.

✨ That’s exactly why I’m offering a New Year, New Habits sale ✨
If January feels like a more realistic reset for your family, you can book now and take advantage of the offer - without the pressure to start during the chaos of December.

If you’re feeling stuck, unsure where to start,or worried you’ve “left it too late” - that’s exactly where I come in 🤍
