So what can you expect from Papaya exactly?

Papaya is a cosy play café by day and an event space by night, designed to bring families, community and creativity together.

During the day, Papaya will be a beautiful space where little ones can play, explore and imagine while parents relax with great coffee and food. Our play area will encourage creativity, independence and fun in a safe and welcoming environment.

As the evening arrives, Papaya transforms into a stylish event space, hosting a variety of events, workshops and gatherings for the community.

Connected to the play café will also be our calm wellness studio, a space dedicated to movement and wellbeing for all ages. From early morning Pilates and yoga to dance classes for children and adults. The studio will offer a range of classes designed to help everyone feel strong, energised and connected.

We have carefully selected the most wonderful local instructors and teachers to host your classes and we cannot wait for you to meet them!

Something special is coming to Portchester!

Introducing: PAPAYA (pronounced like the fruit) 🌞

We’ve been quietly building something really magical behind the scenes, something joyful, inclusive and warm and something that feels like sunshine even on the grey days and we cannot wait to share it with you!

Building this business has taken so much courage: late nights, lots of tea and coffee, planning, designing, doubts, taste testing, tears, joy, mood boards, excitement and that quiet look between us that says… we’re really doing this??

Papaya was never just about opening a space. It’s about creating a feeling. A place where children can play freely, parents and carers can breathe deeply, creativity can flow wildly. Somewhere you can just be and somewhere you can order good coffee and food and where natural moments turn into memories you’ll carry forever.

This is only the beginning, and we cannot wait to welcome you inside our world 🧡
