In Scotland, all young people are offered the MenACWY vaccine in secondary school (S3).

If you're under 25 and haven't had it yet, there's still time. Contact the local immunisation team on0800 320 339 to book your appointment.

Remember, the MenACWY vaccine protects against some types of meningitis, but not all, so it's still important to know the signs and symptoms.
- a high temperature (fever)
- being sick
- a headache
- a blotchy rash that doesn't fade when a glass is rolled over it
- a stiff neck
- a dislike of bright lights
- drowsiness or unresponsiveness
- seizures (fits)
