Fraud is the most common crime in the UK, accounting for 40% of all reported offences. Vulnerable groups such as the elderly, people with mental health conditions, and young adults are most at risk of scams.

Here are 6 ways to protect yourself:

1️⃣ Trust your instincts – if something feels wrong, it probably is.
2️⃣ Do your research – check the company contacting you before responding.
3️⃣ Protect your personal details – never share passwords, bank details, or PIN numbers.
4️⃣ Don’t hand over money until you’ve verified the source.
5️⃣ Use a “No Cold Callers” sign to deter doorstep scams.

Flu can be serious and the NHS is seeing hospitals overwhelmed with flu patients. Protect yourself and others by getting your flu jab today.

Who can get the FREE NHS flu vaccine?

✔️ Aged 65 or over (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2026)
✔️ Have certain long-term health conditions
✔️ Pregnant
✔️ Live in a care home
✔️ Main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
✔️ Live with someone who has a weakened immune system
