Tackle Health is Portsmouth Football Club’s new health initiative focusing on Smoking Cessation, Alcohol Awareness and Weight management.

Tackle Health is a Portsmouth Football Club’s new health initiative focusing on Smoking Cessation to 12-18 years olds, Alcohol Awareness for 16-25 year olds and Weight management for 8-16 year olds and the 55+. Funded by the Governments 'Volunteering Fund - Health and Social Care' stream until October 2014. Working in partnership with Community Fusion Tackle Health aims to engage volunteers of all ages to get involved with the programme in delivery, promotion and project ideas. Today is National No Smoking Day - Out of 10,000 fans at Fratton Park every season we sadly lose 22 due to smoking related diseases - These 22 Pompey players, staff and our volunteers represent this loss...

We have a FREE Zumba session running at Fratton Park TOMORROW in the carpark from 1-2pm Make sure you come down and take part!!! :-)

We also have a smoothie bike, kids activities and games - Come down and talk to our volunteers and get information on how to quit smoking, get healthy and drink sensibly!!
