Established in 2007 by Janet Ayers, the choir now performs two concerts a year and Sing for Water Portsmouth, plus various busking performances locally, raising money for local and national charities. We sing songs from all over the world, in lots of different languages, plus English, all unaccompanied in 4 part harmony. Songs to celebrate the passing of the seasons of nature and the seasons of life. The choir is open to anyone who wants to sing, no audition and no experience necessary, just the willingness to jump in and have a go. Singing is many things to many people, but the over ridding feeling is that it's good for your health and wellbeing. It can lift your spirits and bring meaning to our lives. In the last 14 years the choir has raised just over £12,000 for various charities including Water Aid, Rowans Hospice, PARCS, Headway, The Good Mental Health Cooperative and Naomi House.
