We’re really pleased to share that Practice Plus Group Portsmouth has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Portsmouth Business Awards 2026 for Community Business of the Year.

This category recognises organisations that genuinely contribute to their local area, whether that’s through improving health outcomes, supporting community wellbeing or working with local charities and initiatives. Being recognised for this means a great deal to us as a team.

Putting the health of our community first has always shaped how we work. From helping residents access the right care, creating clearer patient information, supporting local health projects, we aim to make a real difference where it’s needed most. Alongside this, we’re proud to support local charities who play such a vital role in strengthening our wider community.

It was great to have a stand at the Shaping Portsmouth Conference today and to connect with so many local businesses, organisations, and community partners.

The networking opportunities and conversations throughout the day really highlighted the strong sense of collaboration across the city. With Portsmouth bidding to become the next UK City of Culture, it’s an exciting time to be part of a community that values creativity, culture, and connection.

Christmas Jumper Day at Practice Plus Portsmouth St Mary’s

Our centre proudly joined thousands across the UK in supporting Save the Children for Christmas Jumper Day.

The team at Practice Plus Portsmouth St Mary’s went all-in for this brilliant cause — the office was transformed with festive colours, sparkles, and some truly bold Christmas knits

It was wonderful to see everyone come together, have a bit of fun, and help raise money for a charity that makes a real difference to children’s lives around the world.

Thank you to our amazing staff for getting involved and spreading the festive spirit!

Today we marked a very special milestone our 20th anniversary at PPG Portsmouth St Mary’s. We celebrated with a team lunch and proudly presented our Long Service Recognition Awards to colleagues who have dedicated so much to our patients and our community over the years.

Today, our team at Practice Plus Group Surgical Centre St Mary’s Portsmouth came together to honour and remember all those who gave their lives in service to our country.

At 11am, staff and patients stood side by side to observe the two minutes’ silence a powerful and emotional moment of reflection shared across our centre.

Later, members of our team visited Milton Cemetery, where we learned about the Commonwealth War Graves and took time to pay our respects to those laid to rest there. We were deeply moved as we laid a wreath at the Milton Cross of Sacrifice in their honour.

To continue our tribute, we held a bake sale to raise funds for Scotty’s Little Soldiers wonderful charity supporting bereaved children of British Forces personnel.

We are proud to be a Veterans Aware Hospital and to stand united in remembrance.
