My little girl has been gone from us for seven whole years today.
It really doesn't seem possible that that much time has passed. I know I say it every year but it's true. And it still doesn't seem real, even after all this time.
One of her friends posted a couple of weeks ago that grief doesn't go away, you just get stronger to carry it, and it really struck me. The grief doesn't get less, your life grows around it and you just get used to it being there.
I graduated with my Masters on 23rd January. I wasn't going to attend the ceremony but got talked into it, and am so glad that I did.
I took a lock of Victoria's hair with me, next to my heart, and had a photo of her next to my cake. I believe she and my friends gave me the strength to not only do it, but to enjoy it too.
I still cannot fathom that she isn't here with me and I'd give anything to have her back.
I love you and miss you so much sweetheart ###

Another 9.41am on 2nd October.
My 6th without you Victoria.
You would have been 26 today, 26 I can't believe it...
I miss you as much as ever, sometimes even more.
I know you thought it was hilarious that there was no point looking for birthday messages on facebook from me until 9.41am because I wouldn't post until that time because that's officially when you were born. I'm glad I did that and that became our personal joke.
And for the rest of my life I will think of you at 9.41am on 2nd October.
I love you always and forever my sweetheart, my little girl.

Don't forget - this Sunday at noon, I will be abseiling from The Spinnaker Tower - Spinnaker Tower Abseil for The Thin Blue Paw Foundation - in memory of Victoria and to raise money for The Thin Blue Paw Foundation.
Please help in any way you can.
Boxer and lower leg amputee Matt Edwards will be joining me in this challenge. He's better known for walking up Snowdon on crutches!

Please remember that my abseil from The Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth is at 12 noon this coming Sunday, 1st October.
I would love to see anyone who wants to come along for a cup of tea or lunch afterwards.
I'm going to be terrified so if you want to see that, please come and enjoy it!

I have just received Victoria's photos from Venture Studios.
These were taken August 2012.
They not only sent the pics, but made a little slideshow too.
So I've had a smile and I've had a cry.
I miss my little girl so much

Victoria's friend Gee, and I, will be abseiling from the Spinnaker Tower on Sunday 1st October at noon to raise money for The Thin Blue Paw Foundation.
It's the closest I could get to Victoria's birthday (2nd) and I'll be carrying her picture with me.
Please come along and support us.
Video of what it looks like in the comments.
Please, please, share the fundraiser as it's stalled since I couldn't log in and update it, and I really want to get some momentum going again.

We're thrilled to announce that we have hit a huge milestone as a foundation. Since our launch in 2020, we have covered £125,000 worth of veterinary and rehabilitation treatment for the heroic retired police dogs that we support across the United Kingdom. We couldn't have done it without your support, THANK YOU!!! 🎉👏💙🇬🇧🐶

Victoria’s Story

Victoria was in her first year at Bournemouth University, studying Music and Sound Production Technology when she fell ill. She thought she had flu, and possibly an ear infection because she was dizzy.

In reality, she was critically ill.

She asked a flatmate for some painkillers, but no-one had any, so she decided to just stay in bed and sleep it off.

She never woke up.
