I'm so excited about the next part of this summer's workshop programme in honour of the wildland.

This is a one day retreat of dancing, singing love songs to the earth, wild swimming, sharing food and dreaming with the herbal powerhouse that is mugwort.

A Lammas nature dance and elemental immersion to honour the abundance of the earth.

This is a ritual journey of song, movement and community connection. Together we will meet the witch wisdom of Mugwort, invite her power of dreaming and make space for her to move in our bones as we let loose under ancient beeches.

Thank you to everyone who came and made Love Songs to Wildflowers so special.

The plants have been in my dreams every night since Sunday. So much gratitude for the time shared, the medicine made, the voices raised. The river is waiting for us to return, the fire is always lit and the tea is brewing.

Kilner jar p**n and an ode to sunshine 🌼

At the start of this year, I thought the sun would never come out again. The winter was so long.
My surgery recovery was tough and thyroid issues were playing havoc with my seratonin. I fully looked the black dog in the eye and when spring finally came, St John's Wort (hypericum perforatum) had sprung up in my garden where it hadn't been before.

If that ain't bloomin' mystical, I don't know what is. The plant kingdom is listening.

Look at the red, the yellow, the green. It's liquid joy in a kilner jar!

I made this tincture this morning.
Herbal love to you all.

Happy Spring Equinox!

Let's be blowsy, unapologetically decadent, colourful and delighted with the world. Let's echo all the beauty we see, reflecting it back by leading the most creative life with can imagine.

I'm open to blossoming.

Also magnolia makes a delicious pickle, akin to a pink sushi ginger. It's spicy and floral. I'm going to make a magnolia flower cold infusion for kombucha brewing.

Is your creativity calling for deeper connection to the wild?

This spring time retreat is an invitation to come to this untamed land of deep rivers, granite tors and wide skies.

Come and dip your toes in cold waters, sing with the birds to awaken your creative voice and dive into the source of inspiration. Come and ignite your imagination and quicken the places inside where the feral takes root and grows. Come with your artist’s heart and your curiosity.

Together we will create fire ritual, give earth offerings and pilgrimage through the sacred shrines of this sanctuary place to clear the way for new beginnings. Group workshops, individual time on the land, and shared meals are woven together to create both connection and space for your own creative journey.

You will be hosted at Lower Merripit cottage in an ancient, secluded location, surrounded by wildlife and fed delicious, organic food.

Facilitated and held by Gabrielle O'Connell and Avena Rawnsley.

Fee: £350
