UK Expands Eligibility for Disabled Persons Railcard – More Accessible Travel

📍 Starting 1 March 2026, the UK is widening the eligibility criteria for the Disabled Persons Railcard, meaning thousands more people with visible and non-visible disabilities will qualify for a £126 annual rail discount - helping make rail travel more affordable and accessible for more people.

📢 Setting the Record Straight – Occupational Therapy in the Spotlight 🧠👩‍⚕️

The Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) has clarified an incorrect reference to occupational therapy in the new Netflix documentary The Investigation of Lucy Letby.

In the film, occupational therapy was mistakenly mentioned as having provided counselling and support during the case — but this was actually support from occupational health, not occupational therapy.

This distinction matters, and RCOT has formally highlighted the error to the production team so the profession is represented accurately in national media. 💬📺

A new report shows that temporary accommodation in England is causing severe psychological harm for neurodivergent and SEND children - with some families describing conditions as ’comparable to torture’.
