Thanks to NHS Charities Together we have been able to fund the Zero Su***de Alliance's Social Isolation and Loneliness training.

The content has been informed by feedback, research and real experiences.

Through the training, the ZSA aims to:

🔸Raise awareness of social isolation and loneliness
🔸Share more about signs that someone may be struggling
🔸Share tips and ideas for how to support someone
🔸Highlight the importance of social connectivity
🔸Help build stronger, more supportive communities.

Scaling New Heights for Our Services!

Congratulations to Dr Katarzyna S. Adamczyk (Kasia), Specialist Counselling Psychologist in Gender with the Trans Support Service at Mersey Care, who took on the Snowdon at Night Challenge this August.

Despite the driving rain, rain, Kasia reached the summit in record time and raised an incredible £270 to support our mental health and community services.

A seasoned hiker who values the many physical and mental health benefits of walking, this was Kasia’s very first-time climbing Snowdon and her first fundraising challenge – one she felt strongly about because of her work at Mersey Care and the clients she supports.

“Hiking grounds me and fills me with joy and hope,” Kasia explained. “You need that when you work with clients who are struggling to see it. They may be feeling somewhere in the valleys, and you are able to stand at the top of the mountain and say, ‘Listen, you just need to follow the journey, and you will get here as well.’”

The Mersey Tunnel 10k started a fitness transformation that not only raised funds to support our Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust services -- it also saw him go on to complete half marathons in cities across the North West!
