Remember back to when you had no fear and you tried anything?

When did you stop?

Adulthood restricts us, we think we have to behave a certain way. Be sensible, work hard, make money, do the right thing.

Guess what?
You don't have to give up on your inner child. You can still have fun and be an adult.

When your inner child speaks to you, listen! Let go of your inhibitions.

Play, laugh, have fun! 🥳

Sometimes you need to rest and the world will carry on without you ✨💛

*Yoga classes cancelled this week*

I'm not very good at practicing what I preach! Carrying on as if everything around me will fall apart if I stop!

But 5 weeks of coughing and not sleeping have turned into a full blown virus.

It's beaten me!

I surrender!

This week I will be resting, looking at the view from my bedroom window and not worrying about everything falling apart because, at the moment, I need to put myself back together again.

See you after Easter when classes will resume.

As we move into the New Year I would like to let you know about an afternoon of Yoga and Pilates that I will be running with my friend and Pilates Teacher, Jayne Thacker.

Jayne has over 20 years of experience in teaching Pilates. She currently runs classes at the local Sports Centre and teaches clients one-to-one.

Debra has over 30 years experience of yoga practice and has been teaching classes for 13 years.

We look forward to guiding you through an afternoon of yoga and pilates to help you recharge your batteries and to reconnect you to yourself.

Time to say 'goodbye' 🙏🏼

On Monday night I taught my last class in this hall at Ramsey Junior School.

When I first started my Monday evening classes here, 12 years ago, I never imagined I'd still be teaching yoga all these years later. Let alone still be at the same venue!

There have been many people who have attended classes over the years and I would like to thank you all for sharing this space with me ❤️

In life nothing is permanent, nothing stays the same forever, change is inevitable. Time to move on and embrace the change ....

Mindfulness and meditation 🧘🏼‍♂️🧘🏼‍♀️

Mindfulness - mental state of the mind by focusing on the present moment

Meditation - a practice that involves focusing attention to train the mind, achieve a state of calm and increase mental awareness

Mindfulness meditation helps us to focus on what is happening in the present moment. Tuning in to what you are feeling and sensing without judgement. Techniques such as breath work, guided imagery, yoga nidra and mantra repetition can all help to relax the body and mind and calm the nervous system.
