What a wonderful week we have had with those living with us!

We started with Garden Club, where everyone got involved in looking after our plants and sharing stories about their own garden. Then it was time for Puzzle Club, a perfect chance to challenge the mind, enjoy a laugh together and celebrate those "aha "moments when the pieces finally fit.

To top it all off, we had a joyful Coffee Morning filled with singing and dancing. The room was alive with music, laughter, and happy memories - its always so special to see everyone enjoying themselves and each others company.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to come together, connect, and create lasting smiles.

The lovely people living with us took part in a variety of hand, mind, and eye coordination activities, and they truly enjoyed every moment.

What an amazing day we had at Open and Cultural Day 2025!

The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and togetherness — from live singing, henna and nail art, and physiotherapy More...Movement sessions to delicious food varieties and the beautiful showcase of cultural dress.

Thank you to Halima, Nisa, Derry, the Silver Tones Choir, Tony, Keith, and Amiel, our wonderful Lifestyle Coordinators, our visiting Executive Chef John, our lovely Home Chef Sylvie, all the Regional Managers, and our amazing Home Manager Lizzie for her hard work and dedication in making this event possible. And of course, to each and every member of our care home who helped, supported, and participated — your efforts and enthusiasm truly brought the day to life!

What a delightful afternoon!

The people living with us enjoyed a friendly game of Just Bowl, sharing laughter, cheers, and friendly competition.

After the game, everyone cooled off with refreshing ice lollies, making it a perfect sunny day filled with fun, smiles, More...Fresh Air, and community spirit. It’s moments like these that bring everyone together and create happy memories!

What a fantastic day out on the water! 🚤🦆🍦

We had an amazing boat trip with the lovely people living with us, enjoying a More...Relaxation cruise around Reading.

Lunch was served on the boat, followed by some fun feeding the ducks and ending the day with delicious ice cream treats. Smiles, laughter, More...Fresh Air, and sunshine all around — a day to remember!

A Big Thank You to REMAP Charity!

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful team from REMAP to our care home. REMAP is a fantastic charity that works to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, by designing and creating custom-made equipment, free of charge.

They gave an insightful talk about the incredible work they do and how their support can make a real difference in the lives of those living with us. Our nursing team, carers, and clinical lead attended the session and found it extremely valuable in understanding how REMAP’s bespoke solutions can enhance the comfort, mobility, and independence of those in our care.

We’re truly grateful to REMAP for sharing their time, knowledge, and compassion with us. We look forward to working together to create more meaningful impacts for everyone!
