A Big Thank You to REMAP Charity!

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful team from REMAP to our care home. REMAP is a fantastic charity that works to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, by designing and creating custom-made equipment, free of charge.

They gave an insightful talk about the incredible work they do and how their support can make a real difference in the lives of those living with us. Our nursing team, carers, and clinical lead attended the session and found it extremely valuable in understanding how REMAP’s bespoke solutions can enhance the comfort, mobility, and independence of those in our care.

We’re truly grateful to REMAP for sharing their time, knowledge, and compassion with us. We look forward to working together to create more meaningful impacts for everyone!

Music, Memories & Joyful Moments 🎤💃

We had an amazing afternoon with our wonderful entertainer who came in to sing for those living with us. The room was filled with smiles, clapping hands, and happy feet as everyone enjoyed listening to the music — and of course, dancing along! 🎶

We had an amazing coffee morning with the wonderful people living with us! It’s always heartwarming to see everyone come together — chatting, sharing stories, reading the newspapers, and simply enjoying each other’s company. 🥰

We were also joined by some lovely family members, making the morning even more special. A big thank you to our talented chefs for the delicious homemade cakes that were a real treat for everyone! 🎂🧁

Our lovely Ice Cream Van Lady, who visits us every year, stopped by again — and brought smiles all around! 🥰

The people living with us had the joy of choosing and buying their favourite ice creams, and it truly felt like a little summer fair. The staff didn’t miss out either — everyone joined in and enjoyed a sweet treat together in the sunshine! 🌞🍨

The people living with us had a refreshing outing by the riverside today! Everyone enjoyed getting More...Fresh Air, feeding the ducks, and exploring the beautiful surroundings. It was a peaceful afternoon, filled with smiles, laughter, and nature’s simple pleasures.

We had an amazing time as our wonderful friends from the Tilehurst Knitting and Arts & Crafts Community who joined us for a fun-filled session.

Their visit not only brought fun and More...Creativity, but also reminded the people living with us of their old hobbies and passion, sparking beautiful conversation and smiles. They spent the day helping learn knitting and card-making.

A huge thank you to these lovely ladies for not only sharing their skills, but also donating some beautiful handmade gifts- scarves for the gentleman, and blankets for the ladies.

A Huge Thank You to Blandy & Blandy Solicitors {Reading}!

We were delighted to welcome members of their team to our care home for an informative session on looking after our money and the legal ways to protect it. They explained things clearly, answered lots of personal questions from the people living with us, and helped everyone feel more confident about safeguarding a lifetime of saving.

What an amazing Tuesday Morning!

We started the day with a variety of activities across our communities, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for everyone. A special highlight was welcoming our wonderful guests from the Tilehurst Knitting and Arts & Crafts Community. They joined us for the lovely coffee morning, where we had the chance to chat about the incredible work they do, and how they support the wider community in so many meaningful ways.

We kicked off the week in the best way—getting our hands dirty and our hearts full!🪴

Our gardening session was a wonderful success as we planted a variety of fresh herbs like sage, thyme, basil, mint, parsley, coriander, and more. These herbs will soon make their way into our kitchen, bringing fresh flavour straight from our little garden!👩‍🍳

What made it extra special was including everyone—we didn’t just stay outdoors; we visited rooms too. It was a beautiful day filled with smiles, More...Fresh Air, and the joy of growing something together. Everyone had a great time!
