💛A gentle reminder I learnt the hard way… rest isn’t weakness, it’s wisdom.💛

Some of you saw my post from the other day about my experience with M.E. in my early 20s.

It was one of the toughest chapters of my life, months where climbing the stairs felt like a marathon and “pushing through” simply wasn’t an option.

That time taught me something I’ve carried into my life and my work ever since:

Your body whispers before it shouts.

And if you ignore the whispers… the shout eventually arrives.

Today, I’m listening to those whispers.

I’m slowing down, resting, keeping things light, not because I “can’t” do more, but because I’ve learnt what happens when I don’t honour what my body and mind need.

It’s interesting timing, really…

Something you might not know about me…

When I was 23/24, I hit a level of burnout that completely reshaped my life. Not the “I’m tired” kind of burnout — the kind where your body simply stops.

I developed M.E. and for over a year I struggled to function.

For the first six months, I slept… constantly. I could barely do anything.

Walking up and down the stairs felt like climbing a mountain.

Eating well became an act of survival.

Reading a few pages of a book or sitting in the garden for five minutes was a “tiny step”, something that gave me joy, even though it completely exhausted me.

That year forced me to learn what most young adults are never taught:

✨ How stress and overwhelm build silently
✨ How the body holds pressure long after the mind says “I’m fine”
✨ How to listen to the signals before they become shouts
✨ How tiny steps create real change
✨ How to rebuild calm slowly, gently, and without guilt

And those lessons shaped everything I do now.

They are why I help 18–25 year olds who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stressed or full of self-doubt, because I was that overwhelmed young adult.

I know what it feels like when your mind is racing, your body is tired, and you feel like you should be coping better than you are.

✨ Why I Do What I Do ✨

Because I remember exactly what it felt like to be a young adult who didn’t feel good enough. To second-guess every decision. To overthink every message. To compare myself to everyone else and always come up short. To carry stress I didn’t know how to let go of… and pretend I was fine.

And honestly? I wish I’d had someone back then who got it, someone who could have shown me how powerful I actually was.

Fast forward to today, after 18+ years of transforming lives… I get to be that person for the young adults who are feeling:
