Foundation for Jobs Redcar and Cleveland Council We offer independent careers information, advice and guidance to young people aged 16 - 19 or up to 25 for people with LDD's.

Foundation for Jobs (formerly Connexions) offers independent careers information, advice and guidance to young people aged 13-19 or up to 25 for people with learning difficulty or disability. If you have any queries please contact the main office on 01642 444666 during office hours or email routestoemployment@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk. There are 2 teams of qualified careers advisers:

Schools and Colleges Team

This team works in schools and colleges to help young people make choices about what they want to do when they leave school or college. This includes:


•Work in schools, including face to face careers guidance interviews and group work with year 11, but also work with some young people in year 9 and 10. Every school has an assigned careers adviser
•Additional support to young people with disabilities by attending their 14+ reviews in year 9 (where they have a Statement of Special Educational Need), and help to make sure that they make a successful transition to post 16 education, employment or training. NEET Intervention Team

This team works with young people aged 16+ who need support to find training, education or employment.
