Less than 3 weeks since launching my page and I’ve received my first review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’m so grateful I could be part of such a special occasion — treating not only the beautiful bride but also her wonderful family the night before her wedding. 💕

✨ A little holiday moment that made my heart glow…

At home, if I’ve got the treatment room set up, my boys often ask for a massage before bed – and they always sleep so well afterwards. They’re usually my first “clients” at a festival weekend too, before any paying festival-goer gets a turn 🤣

But this time, the roles were reversed. After lots of walking on holiday, my little Joshua offered to take care of me and massage my ankle (which I broke last September). 💕

It’s something that would never have happened 6 months ago, and it reminded me just how far I’ve come. I’m not only taking care of myself and my clients, I’m also role-modelling how powerful touch and relaxation can be. My boys are learning that taking time to pause, rest, and care for ourselves isn’t just a luxury – it’s essential. 🌿

Whether it’s a long bath, a nourishing skincare ritual, a quiet walk, or simply sipping your favourite tea in peace — self-care isn’t selfish, it’s essential. 💛

Running used to be a big part of my self-care, but I’ve really struggled with it in recent years. Today, I laced up again and joined the family for Parkrun — followed by the biggest chai latte known to man on the beachfront. ☕🌊

Here’s to slowing down, recharging, and glowing from the inside out… and not just because my face is so red after a 5km run 😆✨

Can TEMPLESPA products be used during cancer treatment?

This is a question I was asked recently, and it’s such an important one.

Every cancer journey is unique, so it’s always best to check with a specialist nurse before using any new skincare. That said, all TEMPLESPA products are naturally derived and many are very gentle on skin that may be more sensitive than usual — I obviously wanted to research as thoroughly as I could before responding to this and ultimately the feedback has been that people going through chemo or radiotherapy often find TEMPLESPA soothing when other products have caused irritation.

During treatment, skin often becomes more dry and sensitive. While some citrus-based products like Glowcolic may not be ideal, others can offer comfort and a moment of calm.

Hi, I’m Becky 👋

Founder of Calm and Glow, a space for real-life self-care, skin health, physical, emotional and holistic wellbeing.

After more than 20 years in social work, with specialisms including emotional wellbeing, mindfulness and trauma informed care I understand the toll that constant giving, juggling, and holding it all together can take. I also know that self-care isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity.

But like many of the people I now support, despite knowing the theory inside out, I learned this the hard way.

Last year, life caught up with me. Between health challenges, a busy job, family responsibilities and the joys of menopause I was burnt out. An unexpected injury forced me to stop, really stop, and for the first time, I had space to ask: what do I need?

That question changed everything.

✨ I started moving again — gently, consistently, with purpose
✨ I built a routine that prioritised rest, nourishment, and skincare (ok I might still be working on the rest bit but I’m definitely better than I used to be)
✨ I rebalanced my career, finding new energy and flexibility
✨ I trained as a massage therapist and TEMPLESPA lifestyle consultant
✨ And Calm and Glow was born 🌿

Now I combine lived experience with professional expertise to support others on their wellbeing journeys — whether they need a treatment, a reset, or simply a reminder to breathe.
