Last week, the gang headed up to London for our Q1 Sales meeting.

After kicking off the start of the year with a bang, we were able to celebrate many wins across the team.

- was promoted to Delivery Consultant
- broke two Apsida records
- broke an Apsida record
- .cl and made their first deals
-We announced our Presidents Club destination

Alongside this, we welcomed four new starters to the team, congratulated our marketing team on exceeding their KPIs, and announced our summer party plans.

Q1 has been the best start to the year we've seen since 2023, and is a direct reflection of all the hard work that the team have put in.

Welcome to the Apsida Life Science team!

Nicole joins our Regulatory Affairs team as an Associate Consultant, where she’ll be supporting biotech and biopharma organisations in building out their regulatory functions.

She’ll be working across the UK, Europe, and the US, focusing on freelance placements and helping companies bring in the right expertise as they scale, from pre-clinical through to post-marketing.

Nicole will be partnering closely with both clients and candidates, offering insight into the market and delivering a straightforward, well-managed process.

We’re excited to have her on board and looking forward to the impact she’ll make in the regulatory space.

Happy Anniversary Sweetness!

“Its hard to believe it’s already been a year since Sweetness joined the team.

As one of our first hires in South Africa, it was clear early on that she had the right mindset for the role. Over the past 12 months, Sweetness has taken on the challenges that come with building something new, stayed consistent, and made strong progress.

Happy 6 year Anniversary and !

“Alex and Ethan joined us at a time when the world had completely flipped on its head. We were only a few months into building Apsida and had identified them both as key hires… then Covid hit.

As a start-up, it wasn’t about questioning them - it was whether the business would even make it through its first six months. They’d gone off travelling around Asia before starting, contracts signed and everything ready to go… then lockdown.

Plans changed quickly, but we stuck to the decision. They joined remotely, straight into the unknown.

Six years on, it’s safe to say it was one of the best decisions we’ve made.

Now our first Associate Directors, Alex and Ethan have grown into genuine leaders within the business. They lead from the front, drive the sales floor, and have played a big part in shaping the culture we have today.

It’s been a pleasure building this with you both.

“Isabelle joined the team in March 2025 and in that short time has come a long way. We couldn’t be prouder.

She arrived with no formal Marketing experience, but brought infectious energy, curiosity, and a real hunger to learn. With guidance from our brilliant Head of Marketing, , Isabelle has taken every challenge thrown her way and turned it into momentum.

A year on, Isabelle is now doing a phenomenal job running the marketing function while Charlotte is on maternity leave, all while mentoring and supporting our newest team member, Millie.

Last week, Team Marketing visited the London office and spent the day with , .cl , and .

The day started at with breakfast and a view, a thank you from Harry for all of Marketing’s work kicking the year off.

By lunchtime, the guys had squeezed in a run and sauna session, well deserved after Harry’s strong start to the quarter.

With it being Thirsty Thursday, the day naturally wrapped up with a few drinks at The Oyster Shed before the commute home.

After a short break, our Meet the Team series is back. Next up is , Director of US Contracts in our Boston office.

David has spent the past eight years in life science recruitment, specialising in contract hiring. Over that time he’s built particular expertise in medical writing and biometrics.

His impact at Apsida was immediate. Just three weeks in, David secured the fastest 360 deal in Apsida’s history.

Considering he broke a record within his first three weeks, his advice is probably worth listening to:

"Recruitment has a lot of highs and lows. If you master consistency, you’re already ahead of most."

When he’s not busy breaking Apsida records, you’ll usually find him exercising with his dog or travelling. Portugal is a particular favourite, and also where he met his wife.

Most of us know him as David, but his real name is actually Harman. In his family, it’s tradition to go by their middle name.
