I worked as a nurse for over 40 years, initially training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and completing my general training at the Royal London Hospital in 1984. I specialized in Spinal Injuries at Stock Mandeville Hospital, trained as a district nurse, and worked in general practice for over 30 years. I am also a qualified reflexologist. In my mid-40s, I attended South Bank
University to complete my NP degree and continued to work for several years supporting local GPs in general practice, combining my medical and coaching skills. My coaching journey began during my time as a practice nurse in the 1990s, carrying out hundreds of health checks in a busy GP practice. I was fascinated by how differently people responded—how the same advice could lead to such varied outcomes. Everything started to make sense when I began to understand the decision-making process, we all go through, especially around our health. Gaining that insight was a turning point. It TRANSFORMED the way I approached my role, not just as a nurse, but as someone supporting real change in my own life. And most importantly, it changed the way patients responded. Their results improved. Their motivation grew. That shift in understanding made all the difference. I have taken a new direction in recent years, now focusing on supporting people in finding fresh purpose and meaning, especially after the age of 40. Drawing on both my medical background and my own life experiences, I bring empathy, understanding, and a calm, steady presence to those navigating change. Having been through my journey of transformation, I know how important it is to pause, reassess, and reconnect with what truly matters. I help people let go of what’s no longer working and explore new possibilities, particularly relating to health and wellbeing —whether that means rediscovering old passions, building new habits, or simply creating space for something different. My approach is thoughtful and down-to-earth. It's not about quick fixes, but about meaningful shifts—helping you feel more like yourself again and more hopeful about what’s ahead. ARE YOU READY TO GIVE YOURSELF 3 MONTHS? Just three months to care for your body, mind, and soul. Start showing up as the version of yourself you’ve always imagined—kind, calm, clear, and real. This time doesn’t have to be like the last. This time, you choose consistency over intensity. This time, the changes will stay. And most importantly: ask yourself, 'WHAT WOULD I LOVE?' Then build from there. READY TO GET STARTED? Let’s book a 30-minute call and discuss what you would love in your life by emailing me at catherine@greenlightcoaching.co.uk or sending me a private DM. Remember, conversations change lives.
