I completed another yoga training at the weekend...Restorative Yoga is a wonderful practice, focused entirely on rest, deep relaxation and restoring wellbeing. I'll bring this to the community soon, you'll love it!

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to another week of yoga and writing with you.

Tomorrow (Tuesday), join me for Creative Writing for Wellbeing at Cwmparc Community Centre from 12-2pm. Using gentle mindful practices, prompts and free writing, we discover how writing can give insight into what you really need in life. It's powerful stuff and deeply enjoyable! Just £2, with free tea or coffee and paper and pens provided (although you are welcome to bring your own!

In the evening, let's gather at Canolfan Pentre again. I've missed my Tuesday classes, and I'm looking forward to seeing you again! The class runs from 7-8.30, and costs just £8.

On Wednesday morning, it's Chair and Chat at Cwmparc Community Centre. Practice Yoga from 11am, and stay for a cuppa and a natter till 1pm. You don't have to stay for the cuppa, but we'd love to chat with you!

And on Thursday, for all you pregnant Mammas out there, we have an hour of pregnancy yoga. Time for you to care for yourself, to rest, to breathe, to care for YOUR body as you grow your baby. This class is just £5, and runs from 6-7. Yoga equipment is all supplied, you just need to bring a pillow and a blanket, and some water. In the spirit of easing myself back to work, I'm really looking forward to running 3 classes at Cwmparc Community Centre in the coming week.

On Tuesday, I'm going to be leading a Creative Writing for Wellbeing class. I think most people who know me know that writing has been an important part of my life, and my wellbeing, for a really long time. This class will give you the chance to explore the power of the written word to help you dig deep and understand yourself, find creative expression, and heal old wounds.
Or you can just come along, enjoy the company, the coffee and the creativity! This class runs from 12-2pm.

On Wednesday, Chair and Chat is back! With an hour of gentle chair based Yoga, followed by cake, cuppa and chat, this is the perfect 'middle of the week' class, and one of the highlights of my week! Ideal for you if you have limited energy (me!) or mobility, want a gentler way to practice Yoga, or just want a fun midweek activity with connection and cake! This class runs from 11am-1pm.

And on Thursday, in a very exciting new development in my teaching, I will begin for Pregnancy classes. Yoga was such a help to me in my last pregnancy, it helped my physical, emotional and mental wellbeing during a pregnancy I hadn't expected at 36 years old! These classes will help you deepen your connection to your body and your baby, give you tools to support your wellbeing throughout your pregnancy and beyond, and give you space to prioritise your wellbeing. These classes run from 6-7pm, and you can attend online as well as in person. I have mats, and other supportive props you need, you'll just need to bring yourself and a couple of blankets.

I'm really excited to run these classes from next week, and hope you can join me!

Happy New Year to all my friends and !

I've started 2026 with some pretty big fatigue issues, so I'm making sure I practice what I preach, and taking good care of myself. I'm easing myself gently into my year, with plenty of rest and nourishing practices, chats with my GP, and a slow start back to work.

This week, I'm staying at home, resting and taking care of my wellbeing.

Next week, I start classes at Cwmparc Community Centre, with creative writing on Tuesday, Chair Yoga on Wednesday, and pregnancy Yoga on Thursday. We have an online option for the pregnancy Yoga, so if you can't attend in person, you can join us on zoom, drop me a message for information :)

I'll be back to my Yin and Hatha Yoga classes at Cwmparc and Canolfan Pentre soon, I'll keep you posted!

Drop me a message if you have any questions about any of the classes at Cwmparc Community Centre next week!

love to all

If today’s weather has you wanting to hibernate, I feel you

The wind is howling, the rain is sideways, and every weather warning seems to be yelling “stay indoors”.

But honestly, it’s the perfect day for Yin Yoga at Cwmparc Community Centre.

While the storm does its dramatic thing, we’ll be inside creating the exact opposite atmosphere - soft, slow, grounding, soothing.

Yin gives your body and mind a real chance to settle. Long, gentle stretches, deeper breathing, nervous system downshifting into “ahhh… finally”.

If the weather has knocked you off balance or you’re just craving a warm, peaceful hour for yourself, come join me later. Bring blankets, cushions, pillows, and your wonderful self!

I'm teaching another Yin Yoga class tomorrow at Cwmparc Community Centre

What is Yin Yoga?

Yin Yoga is a beautifully slow and meditative practice that helps you unwind and reconnect with your body.

Instead of flowing quickly from pose to pose, we hold each posture for a few minutes, allowing the muscles to soften so we can reach the deeper layers of the body, the fascia, joints and connective tissues.

It’s not about flexibility or strength, it’s about stillness, patience and presence.
In Yin, you learn to be with yourself just as you are, finding calm and space in both body and mind.

If you’ve been feeling tired, overwhelmed or just in need of a good stretch and some quiet time, this class is for you 💫

The class is just £8, and will leave you deeply relaxed. I might even end with a wonderfully relaxing Yoga Nidra!

If you'd like to come, there's no need to book, but please do bring pillows, blankets, cushions, to support your body as you relax into the poses. Drop me a message if you have any questions!

What's on tomorrow at Cwmparc Community centre?

Take a look and see what you'd like to come along to

Hello!

It's been a while since I posted here, so I thought I'd reintroduce myself properly.

I started practicing Yoga almost 20 years ago, and started teaching 11 years ago. Training to teach Yoga changed my life completely, as it allowed me to free myself from alcohol and cigarette addiction, giving me a whole new relationship with myself and my life.

After a few years break from teaching after lockdown, I'm back, and am thoroughly enjoying teaching again.

I've done, and am doing, a lot of training to refresh and deepen my knowledge and skills, including Yin Yoga, Pranayama (breathwork), Yoga Nidra, Yoga for Menopause and coaching, as well as throwing myself deeply into a 500HR Yoga teacher training course.

I teach a few classes already in the local area.

On Tuesday evenings at 7pm, I teach in Canolfan Pentre. This is a hatha yoga class, and you're welcome to practice on the mat or a chair.

On Wednesday mornings at 11am, I teach a chair yoga class at Cwmparc Community Centre. This is a gentle, inclusive class on chairs (although you are welcome to take to the mat if you want), and we enjoy a social hour afterwards with tea and cake.

And on Fridays at 6pm, I teach a Yin Yoga class in Cwmparc Community Centre. Yin is a very slow class, with long holds, and props such as blankets and pillows to support the body. Its deeply relaxing and the ideal way to release the tension of the week.

I'm looking at putting on more classes through the week and maybe at the weekend. I'd love to know what you'd like to do!

I was born to two teachers, so learning and teaching has always been a big part of my life and identity.

Today, I'm having a study day today. Reviewing and catching up with Yoga for Menopause teacher training with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank this morning.

And this afternoon, I'll be joining the first live call of my Thai Yoga Massage training. The course is online, but I'm part of a study and practice group, so I'll get to learn in person as well. I trained in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage with James Winstanley about 10 years ago, and loved it, so I'm looking forward to getting back to doing some massage.

I've also got a bit of homework to finish for my Yoga Nidra training, so I'll complete that later so I can get my certificate!

I'll be bringing the Yoga for Menopause training into my teaching soon, maybe with a dedicated class for people in Menopause. Watch this space!

What are you doing today? How are you nourishing your mind/body

I'm feeling poorly today, with a cough that has been hanging around for about a week now, and seems to be getting worse.

So I'm going to cancel tonight's Yin Yoga class in Cwmparc Community Centre. I don't want to risk passing anything infectious on, and I can barely go 5 minutes without coughing, so it wouldn't be a great experience for any of us!

I'll be spending the day resting, and catching up on my Menopause Yoga study from Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank. I've only got two more weeks of the course and then I'll be able to take my exam, so I really do need the study time! With Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts as well as a deep exploration of what happens in the body in the menopause journey, there's a lot to learn! I wish I'd learned this a few years ago, it would have helped me manage my menopause transition a lot better if I'd understood it better, but now I'm through it, I can use what I'm learning to help others.

What are your biggest menopause challenges?
