I spent the day at Ajuda Limited today, on day 1 of Mental Health First Aid training. It's been a really interesting day, with some lovely women.

Bobbie Allen MacNiven-Young, our trainer, gave us homework to do something that was just for us, that makes us feel good

Well, my Yoga class at Canolfan Pentre made me feel so good, I'm counting that. But I also wanted to do something that was totally just for me.

So I'm ending the day with a hot bath, with bath salts and a nice herbal tea. This, combined with the yoga, should help me have a good sleep tonight I reckon!

If you're looking for something to do tomorrow that supports your wellbeing, why not come along to our Accessible Yoga class at Treherbert OAP Hall?

It's a gentle class that you can take part in on a chair, or a mat, or a mix of both. We do gentle movements that can help with mobility, relaxation, balance and strength, all in a lovely community of amazing people.

The class is funded by Play It Again Sport. And we have a new class starting a week Tuesday at Ynys y Cwtsh - Champions for Ynyshir!

What a lovely day in Pontypridd at the womensmindhealthuk event at YMa with Rebekah Gibson Nagle and baby Sunshine.

Started the day with coffee and brunch in the Cwtch Cafe, then headed upstairs to the event.

It was lovely as ever to speak to Steven Crichton of Silence Speaks, and play with fidget spinners at his self care talk. See you in a fortnight at the Ajuda Limited Mental Health & Wellbeing Show!

Fab to see Shelley Caviell from Cwmparc Community Centre, and Natasha and Hayley from Play It Again Sport.

I got to meet the ladies from Shift Together CIC, and chat to New Horizons Mental Health and My Wellbeing RCT. And made some plans with the ladies from Cosy Circle Women's Wellbeing Group. It was also great to see so many others sharing the vital work they do.

And we loved the belly dancing taster with Maya Fusion Dance, although I did discover it's not easy to dance with an almost 9 week old baby in a sling. I reckon I need more practice with her!

Watch this space for some exciting news to come from the afternoon, I need to check my calendar and make some plans and I'll have some new class news for you!

April is Stress Awareness Month, and I don't know of a better way to release stress in the mind and body than Yoga!

Whatever sort of mood I'm in before I get to my mat, whether as a teacher or practitioner, I ALWAYS feel happier, calmer, more relaxed and with a sparkle I can feel. This morning, I was really tired and had to drag myself out of bed to teach in Treherbert OAP Hall, but by the time I left, I was beaming and feeling energised and happy.

If you'd like to find out how good Yoga can help you feel, come along to Canolfan Pentre tomorrow from 7-8.30pm, or Cwmparc Community Centre on Wednesday from 11am-1pm. Enjoy moving your body in a gentle but effective way, connect with your breath, and give yourself the self care you need.

I've got some more classes coming, with the return of Pregnancy Yoga in Cwmparc Community Centre and a new class in Ynyshir coming next month. And watch this space for some announcements of some exciting events with Play It Again Sport and Mental Health Matters Wales. More details very soon!

After a wonderful four week series of accessible Yoga classes at Treherbert OAP hall, I am delighted to share that we have been granted more funding to carry on the classes, thanks to Play It Again Sport.

The classes have changed to a different day, so that I can attended classes in Yoga One in Penarth on Friday mornings. We'll meet instead at 10.30 on Mondays, starting next week!

I've loved these past 4 weeks, meeting so many lovely ladies, and sharing the gentle gifts of Yoga with them, and I am so excited to be able to carry on!

I was born to two teachers, so learning and teaching has always been a big part of my life and identity.

Today, I'm having a study day today. Reviewing and catching up with Yoga for Menopause teacher training with Yoga Medicine by Tiffany Cruikshank this morning.

And this afternoon, I'll be joining the first live call of my Thai Yoga Massage training. The course is online, but I'm part of a study and practice group, so I'll get to learn in person as well. I trained in Ayurvedic Yoga Massage with James Winstanley about 10 years ago, and loved it, so I'm looking forward to getting back to doing some massage.

I've also got a bit of homework to finish for my Yoga Nidra training, so I'll complete that later so I can get my certificate!

I'll be bringing the Yoga for Menopause training into my teaching soon, maybe with a dedicated class for people in Menopause. Watch this space!
