What a wonderful Christmas we had at St Ives House 🎄✨

Staff, residents and families came together to share the true spirit of Christmas, filled with fun, friendship and festive cheer. Santa arrived with his elves delivering presents, our jolly trolley made the rounds with everyone’s tipple of choice, and the celebrations continued as we sat down together to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and special moments shared, truly a day to remember. ❤️

Fun was had by all, and we wish everybody a wonderful 'Twixmas' and 2026! 🎅🎁

🎄✨ Festive Fun at St Ives House! ✨🎄

Residents at St Ives House enjoyed a truly wonderful afternoon celebrating the festive season at our Christmas party yesterday. The room was filled with Christmas cheer as everyone sang along and danced to festive classics, beautifully entertained by the lovely Bee Chumley Vocalist 🎶💃

A delicious buffet, expertly prepared by our chef Jim, was enjoyed by all, bringing everyone together for an afternoon of great food, laughter, and friendship 🍽️❤️

It was a joyful celebration full of smiles, music, and festive spirit, a perfect way to start the Christmas period. Fun was had by all! 🎅🎁

⚽💙💕 What a winning day out for St Ives House! 💕💙⚽

On Wednesday, our residents enjoyed a fantastic morning at the Ringwood Community Hub, cheering on the Women’s Walking Football team, and even better, our very own John joined in and scored the first goal! 🙌🥅

After the match, everyone relaxed with games and a lovely afternoon tea, so kindly hosted for us. Laughter, smiles, and great company made it a day to remember. ☕🎲

Resident Pauline shared how pleased she was to attend, saying football is her favourite sport and she loved being out in the community, involved in the match and seeing everyone having fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this special day possible, fun was truly had by all! 😊✨

🎄✨ Celebrating Together at St Ives House ✨🎄

Staff and residents had a fantastic afternoon celebrating the Care South Online Christmas Party!

It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on and celebrate everything our amazing team at St Ives House does for our residents and our home each and every day. 💙

Our residents were delighted to be part of the celebrations, joining us in commending the staff for their hard work, dedication, and commitment.

The afternoon was filled with festive cheer as we enjoyed a fantastic buffet, followed by a staff raffle and goody bags! 🎁🎉

A truly lovely way to celebrate the season together.

✨ A Magical Evening at St Ives House ✨
Residents, families and friends came together for a wonderful evening at our annual Christmas light switch-on and Christmas fayre. The home was full of festive cheer, with stalls including a raffle, tombola, resident handmade crafts, and Name the Gonk.
Thanks to the amazing generosity of everyone who joined us, we proudly raised £700 for Parkinson’s UK, a charity very close to our hearts. 💙
With warm mulled wine, fresh mince pies, and plenty of Christmas sparkle, it was a fantastic start to the festive season.
The celebrations have truly begun at St Ives House, and we look forward to sharing more food, fun and friendship throughout the Christmas period. 🎄💫

❤️Remembrance Sunday❤️

Yesterday morning, our residents and staff came together to mark Remembrance Sunday, travelling to Ringwood to join the local community in a heartfelt morning of reflection and gratitude.

After a peaceful walk around the town centre, with a stop for warming coffees and delicious locally baked cakes, we joined the parade outside the church and walked together to the Memorial Gardens for the service of remembrance.

Everyone was moved by the beautiful displays of knitted poppies created by the local WI. Ken’s favourite were the purple poppies, honouring the many animals who bravely supported the war efforts.💜

It was a truly special morning spent together... reflecting, remembering, and giving thanks to all those who have served and continue to serve. ❤️

💕Arts & Crafts for Remembrance💕

Residents at St Ives House had a lovely afternoon in the Bistro today, getting creative with some meaningful arts & crafts.

With Remembrance Day fast approaching, our residents have lovingly handmade their own poppy badges to wear with pride — both for the local Remembrance Service in Ringwood this Sunday, and for our annual Remembrance & Reflection morning.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and heartfelt memories as we honour those we’ve loved and lost. ❤️

✨ A Beautiful Evening of Reflection ✨

Residents and staff from St Ives House enjoyed a truly special night at Candles on the Green at Wimborne Minster on Saturday evening. 🕯️💚

Together with the local community, we took part in an evening of remembrance and reflection, listening to heartfelt words, angelic choir performances, and watching the green glow softly with the light of hundreds of candles.

It was a touching reminder of togetherness, peace, and the warmth that shines brightest when a community comes together. 🌟

🍂 A Perfect Autumn Afternoon at St Ives House! 🍁

Residents enjoyed a wonderful trip out in the crisp Autumn sunshine, making the most of the blue skies and fresh air. 🌤️

We headed over to Wolvercroft Garden Centre in Alderholt for some seasonal pumpkin picking 🎃, followed by delicious hot chocolate and toasted teacakes, the perfect treat! ☕🍰

Everyone loved being out among the trees, watching families and children enjoying the day, and even spotting a few horses nearby. 🐴

Ken shared how special the visit was for him, it brought back fond memories of visiting Wolvercroft with his mother-in-law. “It was lovely to go back and reminisce,” he said. ❤️

It was truly a day full of smiles, stories, and sunshine, a wonderful way to welcome the Autumn season! 🌻🍁

🐴✨ A Special Visitor Returns! ✨🐴

Earlier this week, our residents at St Ives House were overjoyed to welcome back a very special friend... Mr Kellogs, the 29-inch-tall miniature therapy horse! 🐎💛

Mr Kellogs is a much-loved regular in our activity programme, bringing joy, calm, and plenty of smiles to everyone he meets. He made sure to visit every resident during his time with us, and it’s safe to say he was the star of the day!

Ken, a devoted animal lover, was especially delighted:
“It was a lovely surprise! I couldn’t believe how well-behaved he was, such a gentle soul!”

We’re so grateful for the comfort and happiness Mr Kellogs brings to our home, we’re already counting down the days until his next visit! 🥰
