Yes it's that time of year again. Bit of a long post I'm afraid
For healthy individuals, flu is an unpleasant but normally a self-limiting disease with recovery, usually within 2 to 7 days.
Common symptoms include:

In young children, gastrointestinal symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhoea may occur

🌈 Children age 2 & 3 (by 31/8/25)
🌈 children in clinical risk groups aged 6 months to 18 years

This Autumn there is a change to the Covid Booster vaccination that this is only for Patients aged 75 and over (by 31/01/2026) and severely Immuno-compromised.
This can be given at the same time as flu if you wish. We have clinics running from 1st October on a daily basis with a large clinic on Saturday 4th October from 8am.
If you have an appointment from 1/10/25 for your annual review, the nurse will be able to give the flu at that appointment but for patients aged over 75 that wish to have a Covid Booster those need to be given in a specific clinic.
If you have any queries you can contact the team via Patchs on our website or ask reception who will be happy to help.
Many thanks Jo and the Team.
