🌿SOUND BATH & MEDITATION 🌿

I am mega excited to let you know that I am now hosting 2 sessions back to back on Monday evenings at St Martins Church in Castleton.

Events have been filling up super quick and as feelings of connection and intimacy are a priority for me, I limit my sessions to just 8 people.

If you would like to join me to experience a journey of sound with soothing Himalayan bowls, crystal bowls, the drum, rain stick, chimes, rattles and other instruments and meditations to relax and reconnect, calm the nervous system and restore balance, then I look forward to meeting you at one of these intimate sessions.

Session times: 6:30-7:30pm and 8-9pm

Meditation is often a misunderstood practice. Many meditators have beliefs that we need to ‘get rid of our thoughts’ or ‘find stillness’. Although this can be the result of a meditation practice, this is not the practice itself and these beliefs can lead us away from the very stillness we seek.

Meditation is a practice of awareness, and this awareness arises from the stillness itself. Trying to ‘find’ the stillness is like trying to find your glasses when you’re already wearing them. When we become frustrated by the ticking of the clock, the sirens passing by or the noise in the other room, we are chasing a state of stillness. The practice isn’t about chasing a state, or becoming or pushing away from anything. It is an all accepting experience.

To practice being aware, of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations and the environment around us, we are practicing the letting go of the minds tendencies to judge and analyse. We do not find awareness, we let go into it. We do not find stillness, we let go into it, and we let go into it from an embodied state of awareness.

The joys and tribulations of the week! It’s been a week of deep breathing and letting go ❤️ I hosted my second corporate event on Monday in Oldham, with the support of Emma McNicholas, Kris and Phil & Kelly Newbury who came together and transported myself and a huge load of instruments and set up across the borough after my car broke down…again! Thank you so much! 🙏 For me, it was a practice of letting go and allowing life to flow just as it’s meant to. I introduced breath and body awareness, mindful movement and sound meditation on the charity’s wellness event, bringing calm and relaxation into their day. Then straight onto a beautiful intimate evening of sharing sound and meditation in a beautiful candlelit church. Thursday was a brand new class and another full house at the new venue in Todmorden sharing embodiment practices to quiet the mind, body and soul. Finishing the week preparing my full day retreat to be held at the amazing Soul Wellness Hub in the New Year. I’m in love with trusting the process as it evolves ❤️

I have a new class beginning next Thursday 7-8:15pm at Fielden Hall in Todmorden. These are small intimate groups so booking is essential. Enjoy the healing vibrations of the beautiful Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, rainstick and drum to guide you into deep relaxation. Guided meditations to integrate and embody bringing you into your centre and a hot cup of herbal tea while you reconnect or journal your experience. I'd love to see you there!

I thoroughly enjoyed coming together with Emma from Energise Chair Massage to give some rest and relaxation a company in the Northern Quarter, offering a sound bath, meditation and massage to an amazing group of people. Im not sure they were ready to return to work afterwards though!
