We had a delightful morning savouring refreshments and homemade cake in our tea room, all in support of Dementia UK. Activities included guessing the weight of the cake and playing word games, which brought our residents and their families together. This weekend at Lakeview Lodge has been full of warmth, connection, and creativity.

We gathered together for a lively game of hangman, and enjoyed a relaxing mindfulness meditation session, in a calm and relaxed atmosphere.

We’ve also sung along to some of our favourite songs in our sing along session, and got hands-on, carefully preparing trays of delicious shortbread, later enjoying them with cups of tea and coffee- yum! 😋

Lake View Lodge is proud to have raised an amazing £327 for The Brain Tumour Charity.
We organised a Crazy Hat Day, wore pyjamas to work, and hosted an Easter Fayre to support this important cause.
Brain Tumour Awareness aims to highlight the impact of brain tumours, promote early diagnosis, and improve access to treatment and rehabilitation, whilst also providing emotional and practical support for patients and their families.
A big thank you to everyone who donated and supported this amazing cause. ☺️❤️

Well… safe to say today at Lakeview looked a little different 👀😂

We celebrated Wear Your PJs to Work Day and honestly… we’re not sure anyone is going to want to go back to uniforms after this! 💤💗

From fluffy slippers to full-on matching sets, the team fully embraced the cosy vibes – and of course, our amazing residents weren’t missing out either! 😄

There’s been plenty of laughs, a lot of comfort, and maybe just a little less motivation to move quickly today… but days like this are what it’s all about 🫶

Creating smiles, sharing moments, and having a bit of fun together – because at Lakeview, it’s not just about care, it’s about making every day enjoyable 💗

Now the real question is… can we make this a regular thing? 👀😂

What a fantastic day at LakeView 🚁⚽

Our residents had an absolute blast trying out Drone Soccer today — a unique and exciting activity that brought plenty of energy, laughter, and friendly competition. From first-time flyers to confident goal scorers, everyone got involved and gave it a go!

The room was filled with smiles, cheers, and lots of giggles as the drone zipped around. It was wonderful to see such joy, teamwork, and enthusiasm from everyone. 💙

We love creating moments like these — fun, engaging, and full of happiness!

We had a fun-filled morning today at Lake View, with our residents enjoying a lively game of “kick ball.” Passing the ball between one another and keeping the momentum going brought plenty of laughter and energy to the session. ☺️

Afterwards, we were treated to a wonderful performance from the fantastic Billy Rich this afternoon, who had everyone singing, clapping, and thoroughly enjoying themselves with some renditions of some lovely old and new classic songs ☺️
