We were delighted to welcome Graham and Jean from the Medway Branch of Parkinson's UK. The team proudly presented a £250 cheque, raised through generous donations from families who joined us for celebratory meals on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Our resident‘s have enjoyed a lovely couple of days here at Lake View.
From Air Hockey & Chess, Armchair Aerobics & Movement to Music, to Mindfulness Colouring, Jewellery making and much, much more, we love to be involved, get active & be creative! ☺️

On Friday, the Lakeview team welcomed the Kent Association for the Blind, who delivered training to staff on best practices for supporting residents with sight loss.
The glasses worn here by our care manager Kelly, simulated what vision a person with glaucoma would have and offered an insightful experience.

Today our residents decided they’d like to make Banana & Chocolate chip cupcakes. So this morning, that’s exactly what we did! 😊
We then enjoyed our cupcakes with a cuppa and a catch up this afternoon!😊❤️

🇮🇳 Namaste! 🇮🇳
Having been asked last month which country they’d like to choose for our themed day this month, our residents decided on India.
We started our day with some Indian themed movement to music which had everybody giggling and dancing trying to keep up with the movements 🤭 followed by a little Henna tattooing.
Then for lunch, a fabulous Indian Cuisine cooked by our wonderful Chef Dan.
After their lovely lunch, we opted for a film, and in keeping with the Indian theme, we decided on watching Slumdog Millionaire 😊
A good day well spent!😊

After a very wet day yesterday, the sun has quite literally shined down on us today here at Lake View!🌞❤️
We started off spending our morning drawing in ’Sketch Club’ with our Lifestyle Manager Lucy. Our residents chose animals as their drawing theme this week and we think they’ve done a fantastic job!
After lunch we then welcomed the wonderful Jade who sung us some lovely songs that had all of our residents singing along and reminiscing about past times 😊❤️

This morning at Lake View, we had a lovely service held for us by our wonderful Vicar Sue, who kindly visits us once a month to hold a service for our residents.
After lunch, a few of our residents enjoyed burning off some calories in armchair aerobics, with a couple of them even popping out on a visit to one of our local pubs for a pint 😊

This morning at Lake View, our residents had great fun taking part in Science experiments with our Lifestyle Assistant Isaac.
This afternoons activity of outdoor gardening club didn’t go to plan as the weather had other ideas…! 🤭 However, we managed to sit in our garden room and get a variety of seeds planted from salad mixes, to broad beans which our residents are looking forward to eating when they are ready. ☺️

Today at Lake View, we started our day off with a very fun but competitive game of Boules, followed with our lovely residents having a fantastic time busting some moves and singing along to some of their favourite songs this afternoon! 🥰❤️

Today we had a special visitor come and visit us here at Lake View; Buster the dog came and joined us to give our residents a little but of pet therapy. As you can see from their faces, he was loved by all! ☺️❤️

New Years Eve was a busy one for us here at Lake View, in the morning we made our New Years wishes, followed by some tasty treats and then in the afternoon, our singer Le’arna had all of our lovely residents singing, dancing and clapping along to some lovely songs 🥰
