One thing I failed to do yesterday was provide answers to questions. The Silhouette and homonyms were just as you wrote and most of the picture round too for which, you will be pleased to hear, I finally know who is who. Congrats to the winners again who knew far more than I did at the time.

Thanks to everyone who made it today. £250 raised for Mind, which is magnificent. We will return in some form again but not necessarily at the same venue. All feedback welcome. Have a fab week x

Saturday night is made for er baking. By morning I hope to have a couple of loaf cakes and a whole lot of cupcakes to add to Kirsty G's brownies. Feel free to use the extra hour tomorrow to knock up a tray bake, cookie or some other scrumptious offering for the big event. I will of course need to sample for quality control purposes.

The Daily Express are predicting clouds of doom across Medway from 2 tomorrow. Even the BBC are getting in on the calamity cumulus stakes. Happy to report that inside Rochester Social Club there will be nothing but sunshine (and possibly a bit of a draught cos of the door and neighbouring railway shakes).

For those who are definitely including Sunday Social in your weekend shenanigan some essential details. The doors will be thrust open at 2. (The building is opp the Casino Rooms) You get to the hall itself either via the bar or through the door to the side. There'll be a pile of board games to play. There's a pool table and a bar billiard thing there already. Cake will be served from 3. Raffle tickets will be the only inkling of a charity do other than Jodie's quiz sheets. The trash or treasure draw will take place circa 5.45pm. See you there. Have a great Saturday first though.

An apology. Jenny will not be bringing her macaroons along on Sunday after all. Lynette's cookies are gone too. Who to blame? The council! Colleagues bought the lot. So rude. Just off to spend Friday night in a supermarket getting extra ingredients for deliciousness, as penance. If you're in Morrisons see you in a bit.

So three day out checklist. Music is as bad as it is going to be. Several cakes, brownies and , as of today, new choc orange cookies on order. Always room for more.
Board games - Buckeroo, Downfall, Sorry, a pack of cards, potentially a couple of conkers. Oh and generic Jenga. Hoping to pick up a few more but feel free to bring along your own for the share pile. Trash or Treasure raffle - Direct Line phone, smellies. More tat or things of individual wonder required. Do bring along on the day if you find anything down the back of the sofa.
Oh and will be taking bids for the Cigar Box guitar. It's all slowly, very slowly coming together...

Sunday will very much be the start of preparations for the Brighton Marathon next April, a year to the day since I completed a 26.2 mile stagger around London. Raised over £2,000 for Mind, a cause v close to my heart and soul (especially when the weather's a bit gloomy). This year's fundraising will be more low key using the power of cake, quizzical minds and demand for cigar box guitars to hopefully raise a few dozen pounds. Any friends coming along - there is no pressure to stay for any length of time. Just stick around til you've mastered Downfall and have a triple F word in Scrabble. That's all I ask.

In cake news. Kirsty G from the office brought in square samples of her gooey brownies today. After sampling a few have agreed they need to be made more rectangular and bigger and kept separate from the others for research purposes. Oh and there's carrot cake ordered too. Did I mention Jenny's macaroons?
