“How am I going to get through today?”

If this was your first thought this morning, this is an ultimate signal that you need something.

⚡️A break.

⚡️A conversation.

⚡️A new job.

⚡️A challenge.

⚡️The courage to leave.

⚡️The courage to stay.

⚡️The courage to visit your GP.

⚡️Sunshine.

⚡️To delete social media for a while.

⚡️Being honest with your team.

⚡️Stop pleasing others before yourself.

⚡️Chocolate (it’s always the answer, right?)

⚡️A hug.

⚡️To pat yourself on your back and say “this is fricking hard, but I can do it”.

⚡️More time with friends.

⚡️To organise a payment plan.

⚡️To stop comparing yourself to other people’s successes and lives.

We all have these thoughts. But we don’t need to keep them.

If something’s niggling you, don’t ignore it. Look at it in the face and ask “what are you telling me?”

Remember - it’s not “what’s the matter with you?”, it’s “WHAT MATTERS TO YOU?”

Life in the ‘upside down’ can be scary, but not as hairy as ignoring reality.

Stop comparing your life to others.

Start looking inward rather than outward.

If you’re craving a different lifestyle, ask yourself why you want it?

If you’re comparing your business to another, remind yourself that there are no secret recipes for success.

If you’re comparing your career to someone else’s, remind yourself that no-one gets to the end of their life and says “I should’ve spent more time at work”.

If you’re basing your life and relationship goals on someone else’s path, ask yourself why you are spending so much WASTED energy craving something that doesn’t belong to you?

Appearances are deceptive.

Basing your comparisons on what people are choosing to show you is the path to an empty existence.

I help people invest time into their ‘selves’ to find joy at work, at home and in their family lives. They work out where to spend their time and who to share their time with.

No instant shopping dopamine hits - temporary highs never last, do they?

No need to splash the cash whilst hiding the increased overdraft, mounting credit card payments and fear of not being able to pay the renewed mortgage rates.

No need to ‘keep up’ the image of success you’re trying to portray, whilst feeling cr*p inside.

Saying and acting-out “no” will become your new life skill.

Finding your own joy will become your greatest adventure.

I love talking to people when I'm out and about. I met this guy at my gym and we talked about a job opportunity he had been presented with. He was 'umm-ing' and 'ahh-ing' about whether or not he :-

1) wanted to take on more responsibility
2) wanted to travel more
3) could develop his skillset in presenting (which he felt out of his depth with)
4) wanted to increase his working hours

He had already swerved a call from the potential new company and avoided talking about it in the morning, so I knew he needed a helpful nudge.

We talked about exploring the role in more depth, asking open questions about having home-working flexibility and suchlike. I guided him to focus on what was really important to him and to stick with these values.

He texted me yesterday and I wanted to share how he changed his outlook on this new opportunity.

He might decide to stay where he is, but when he has all the facts and has gained clarity, he will be able to make the right decision at the right time.

At 20% motivation, he would've talked himself out of the opportunity = no choice.

At 100% motivation = choice.

Feeling motivated to drive yourself out of comfort zones is a magical feeling. All it takes is someone to support and uplift you.

When we feel listened to, valued, guided to find our own solutions, encouraged to work through our fears and perceived limitations, we can help others do the same.

To me, this captures the essence of leadership, friendship, parenting and connection.

Gavin is co-owner and since completing his Sports Science degree in 2004, he's been working as a personal trainer, nutritionist, Pilates coach and corrective exercise specialist.

Tasha is an NLP Master Practitioner, helping people think differently. She recovered from a terminal bowel cancer diagnosis in 2017, so is naturally interested in all-round wellbeing, sharing her knowledge & practical advise with teams and leaders.

After receiving a multitude of survey responses from companies, it seems most people know what to do, BUT they tend to fail putting their goals into practice.

This past year has been less than easy, so Tash & Gav share some science and useful stuff to create more balance in your daily lives.

They discuss counting colours on your plate, rather than calories, how to incorporate more movement into your day (without making sweeping changes to your diary) and lots of ways to raise your 'feel good' mindset.

At last....social prescribing taken seriously to alleviate loneliness.

The delay of the office doors opening is a big problem for some.

As every day passes, their intolerance to getting back 'out there' increases.

Their social anxiety levels are reaching full capacity.

They will find every excuse not to join in.

Because they have started to believe the stories their mind is telling them:-

😒I won't be missed
😒people were being polite when they invited me last time
😒going outside is too dangerous
😒people won't understand what I'm going through
😒people are too busy to listen
😒I'm not confident enough to start doing something new
😒I won't have anything to say - I haven't been anywhere or done anything interesting

So, if you have a colleague, a friend or family member who has started to become distant, remember that they might not turning you down because they don't like you, or they're in a mood.

Instead, they might need gentle coaxing out of their comfort zones and negative thought loops.

People need people.

Carry on reaching out (especially to those living on their own) ❤️

⚡️Go for that walk you've been promising

⚡️Have a cuppa on a bench somewhere

⚡️Make a call with no distractions

⚡️Send a gift, a card

⚡️Share feel good photos
