Relief Support Workers Needed

We’re looking for kind, caring and reliable people to join our lovely team at Tyn y Coed Care on a relief (bank) basis.

If you’ve got a big heart and enjoy helping others, this could be the perfect role for you!

🌿 About the Role
As a relief worker, you’ll step in to support our residents when our regular team members are off. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that makes a real difference every single day.

Your job will include:
✨ Supporting residents with day-to-day activities
✨ Helping with personal care (where needed)
✨ Encouraging independence and wellbeing
✨ Bringing smiles, patience, and a positive attitude!

💫 What We’re Looking For
• Someone who’s caring, dependable, and enjoys working with people
• A good communicator and team player
• Flexible and happy to pick up shifts when needed
• Experience in care is great, but not essential – we’ll provide all the training you need!

Great Work Jack ✨

It was great to call into No 5 Café on Haverfordwest Riverside and speak to Jack and his colleagues over a cup of coffee ☕
We discussed all things Hate crime as part of Hate crime awareness week raising awareness around being and victim and how we can prevent it.

Jack also told me about the work he does in the Café and how he enjoys speaking to the customers that visit.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning at Tyn y Coed!
We’re delighted to share that we raised £152 — every penny goes towards supporting those affected by cancer.

We’ve also baked extra and donated to Rosemarket’s Coffee Morning, happening tomorrow (12–4 PM) at the Village Hall.

🌟 👏🏼 You’re the best because…. 👏🏼 🌟

Josh deserves you are the best because he made a big effort with the support from staff to declutter and deep clean his bedroom. Josh has since kept his room up to a good standard and is keeping up with his washing. Josh has also played for Wales Mencap team in football this Month and won a trophy for the busiest goalkeeper.

Lewis deserves you're the best. Lewis has been very helpful with washing up his plates after dinner. Lewis has also been helping staff with changing his bedding and bringing his laundry to the washing machine. Lewis has also been a great help with opening tuckshop every week and serving everyone with a big smile,
thank you Lewis!

Jack Halls deserves you are the best because, because he went on holiday with his mum and staff, had very positive feedback in how he did activities he wouldn't normally choose and enjoyed them, he was also very helpful with him mum while on the holiday. Jack has also been helping tidy his bedroom on occasions doing the hoovering.

Katie has been independently making her lunch with little help from staff this month, as well as washing up her plate and utensils after
mealtimes. She has enjoyed activities in the house this month rock painting and baking, as well as off site activities. Katie has also shown to be sharing with her peers!

Well done Josh, Lewis, Jack and Katie 👏🏼
