What led me to reflexology-
For over twenty years I was working in the health care sector. During this time I attained my Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social care. I worked in a variety of care settings from NHS hospitals, private care settings, support work roles through to care homes.
I loved the work but mentally and emotionally the work was taking a toll. Hours were often long, and I was on burn out. A story I often hear from others who have also worked in the same sector. My own health was being affected. I was having reflexology to support me during this time, and found its benefits invaluable.
During lockdown though I was a working throughout, the time gave me more headspace to reevaluate how I wanted to move forward professionally.
I wanted to continue supporting people, but in a more gentle and softer way, and in a way that supported my own wellbeing in the process. I was use to working in clinical settings and I wanted something more grounding, and holistic. Reflexology 🌿
I truly believe there is a nice middle ground in healthcare, but we are often witness to the polarisation of 'conventional' vs 'natural', and alternative being labelled 'woo woo'. I think there is room for both, and it's tapping into our body's innate wisdom to help itself.
This led me to train in reflexology. I trained at Cotswold Academy gaining an ITEC Level 3. I have since done additional training in reflexology for menopause, and am oncology trained. I then went onto complete my ITEC Level 3 in massage.
I was working full-time in a residential care setting up until having my Daughter in 2024. This was finally the catalyst for me to progress in a field I am so deeply passionate about, and in doing something that I love- helping people 💗
Over the course of the last year and half I have been building my business.
I offer mobile treatments in both private homes, and visit holiday accommodation including AirBnbs amongst others. I offer a safe, relaxing, nurturing and confidential space. I specalise in womens wellness 🌸
