We have been working with a patient who has been nil by mouth with no prospect of oral intake…..He was a chef. Food is hugely important for quality of life. Yesterday he had his video fluoroscopy. A milestone on his rehab journey ⭐️🌟⭐️How did we get here?
A stepped approach:
✅botulinum toxin injections to the neck
✅soft tissue release neck and shoulders
✅work on sitting balance
✅bespoke seating
✅Biozoom
✅daily taste trials
✅ A very skilled speech therapist
✅A consistent rehab assistant
Let’s see how far we can support his progress 🙏
