Carers4Carers is a umbrella group of volunteer carers who help and support other carers, who's loved ones suffer from serious enduring Mental Health problems, we also campaigning for mental health Carers Right. Because we have the personal experiences of mental health problems,(expert by experience) we know the stress carers can feel, we aim to help make life better for carers in Rotherham, by having a good social network, and empowering carers. If carers are helped, then the people they look after are helped as well we represent carers at meetings, giving carers a voice in the way services are provided.

So sad today John Catterall said good bye to carers from carer groups across Rotherham. A retirment party was held in The RAIN Building Eastwood Lane, over 50 carers attended. John has worked with carers for the passed 10 year and has a 40 year career in Social Services, it will take a very dedicated worker to fill his shoes. The Carers Support Team will continue to work jolly hard, as they always have, they are not called Johnnies Angels for nothing! So lets remember John and send him a fond fairwell in his deserved retirement, I feel sure we shall see him again in the future, a little elf told me we have a special Father Christmas this year on 15th December 2011 at the Christmas Party to be held in RAIN Building at 1pm Diana xx

Hi everyone, we have a stall at Fairs Fayre to be held at Magna on 27th October 2011. Many of our Carers have been having Craft afternoons making lots of different items to allow us to have a Tombola to raise funds for our group, as you know the cut backs will affect everyone by next year so we are trying to become self sufficient, as far as possible. So what I'm asking if anyone has any unwanted items that could be used on a Tombola, we would be really pleases to accept
them they can be dropped of at RAIN Buildings or contact me. Have a nice week end Diana ###

Had some sad news yesterday, Albert Millard, Anita Wilson' s dad died yesterday he would have been 92 on the 1st October. He was well loved by members of C4C and the Phoenix group for many years, with his wife Margaret who died last year, they supported our raffles and the famous potted meat sandwiches for our meetings. I saw Anita last night, she was very tired as she has looked after Albert at home since coming home from hospital , I sent her all our best wishes. Diana ###x
