What if you could move from feeling stuck, blocked or even trapped by acting as if nothing is impossible this week?

Every single goal, no matter how big or small, takes a soupçon of belief, of possibility and of movement. A single step, however tiny, is a step forward. And motivation comes from taking action-not the other way round.

I’m starting this week with action-however imperfect. Who’s with me?

It feels really good to be back.

After a few unexpected weeks away from the microphone, listening to my body and letting life do its thing, I’ve returned with a solo episode that felt important to record.

This episode is about change:

The kind we choose.
The kind that lands on us without warning.
And the kind we’re asked to lead.

Change is not just something we plan for or manage. It lives in our bodies, our work, our identities, and our sense of what comes next. And right now, many of us are navigating more than one kind of change at once.

In this episode I share reflections from my own life and from many years of supporting people and leaders through transition, and I offer a grounded, human way of making sense of where you are right now.

If you are in a season of transition, feeling the stirrings of change, or steadying yourself after something unexpected, this conversation is for you.

🎧 Change: By Choice, By Chance, By Design
A conversation for times of transition.

And next week, I’ll be joined by published author for an entertaining guest conversation you really won’t want to miss.

When I started my new podcast “This is What I’m Here For”, it was always absolutely intended to be about the big important WHY and Purpose that we all search for in our lives (perhaps even more so as we get older and seek more meaning). Yes, it was always about that as well as how we get there, and the amazing stories of people who have found their purpose in one way or another, often when they weren’t consicouly looking.

But it was always intended to be about the smaller things we ARE here for and are NOT here for on a day to day basis. Those things that fit so beautifully with our values and things that matter to us, as well as the things that frustrate us, drives mad or even to despair!

So I’ll start us off:

🙌 I am NOT here for getting up in the dark!
👎 AM here for lighter nights and the birds beginning to sing again

😭 I am NOT here for people dissing January - it’s my birthday month! 🥳
💖 I AM here for snuggling up with soft cosy throws on the sofa and a good book/TV show

Your turn…

What ARE you here for?
What are you NOT here for?

Two days before Christmas, I want to share something very close to my heart. 🤍

This week on This Is What I’m Here For, I sat down with Kate Markland .adventuresofgabriel for one of the most moving conversations I’ve ever recorded.

For 21 months, Kate has been allowed just one hour a week of contact with her son Gabriel, via FaceTime. One hour!

What she chose to do with that hour became a lifeline, and then something extraordinary.

Together, they told stories.
Those stories became The Adventures of Gabriel.
And those stories have now reached children around the world, giving them voice, confidence and hope.

They have also led to the creation of StoryQuest TM - a methodology that is helping hundreds of children worldwide to find their voices and tell their stories

Just days before we recorded, Kate and Gabriel unexpectedly bumped into each other and shared a long, warm hug. As she spoke about that moment, I felt my own heart crack open.

We somehow held ourselves together for the whole episode…
Until the very end.
When our voices finally broke, and we shared a hug of our own.

This episode is a reminder that love doesn’t diminish with separation.
That hope can wait patiently, as long as it takes.
And that sometimes the greatest gifts are the time we give and the space we create for each other.

If this year has stretched you, challenged you, or asked a lot of you, I hope this story gives you hope. ✨

✨ The Gift That Has Been With You Since You Were Born ✨

So many of us underestimate the very thing that makes us who we are.

We look outside ourselves for the “answer” when, in truth, our greatest gift has been with us since the day we were born.

In this week’s solo episode of This Is What I’m Here For, I share how my own brilliance revealed itself long before I had language for it, and why the qualities that come so naturally to us are often the ones we dismiss.

I also talk about the shadow side of our gifts, the moments when our brilliance turns into over-responsibility, and what begins to shift when we reclaim it with clarity and compassion.

If you are sensing that quiet nudge that there is more for you than the life you are currently living, I think this one will really land.

✨ New episode alert!

What if the healing you’ve been searching for doesn’t come from medicine, but from energy?

This week I’m joined by , who spent years behind the camera as a photographer — until one remote healing session changed everything.

Bex now helps people all over the world to release trapped emotions and restore balance through The Emotion & Body Code. In this conversation she shares how her pain became her purpose, and why she now experiences what she calls “everyday miracles.”

If you’ve been living with something long-term that nothing else seems to help, this one might open a new door.

✨ Who are you becoming? ✨

Identity, purpose and the courage to change

There comes a time when the titles and labels we’ve been holding onto, and the roles we’ve played no longer feel like they fit us any more

Maybe you’ve always seen yourself as the problem-solver, the reliable one, the caring one, the achiever. It’s worked beautifully… until now.

In this week’s solo episode, I talk about the link between identity and purpose, why letting go of old versions of ourselves can feel like an existential wobble, and how to find freedom in the space between who we’ve been and who we’re becoming.

I share my own shift from fixer to grounded guide - and what it means to claim a new identity as CEO, thirteen years into running my business.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to grow into something new, this one’s for you.

💫 You’re not lost. You’re evolving.

The new episode is here and in this episode I was delighted to welcome my very first podcast guest - Hannah Lilly.

After years of people-pleasing and perfectionism, which began in childhood, discovered that joy and self-compassion were not goals to reach, but truths to return to.

In this conversation, we explore the link between emotional wellbeing, performance and authentic leadership - and what it means to truly like who you are.

We talk about the difference between happiness and joy and Hannah shares her tips for consciously choosing joy.

Content Note: in this episode, Hannah shares part of her story that includes experiences of deep emotional pain and moments of not wanting to be here. If that feels sensitive for you, please listen with care, pause if you need to, and reach out for support if you’re affected.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s listened to, shared or commented on This Is What I’m Here For.

Special thanks must go to my expert mentor Joanna Ingram, without whom I am not sure I would have made it over the start line yet. And if that's not enough she also helped me celebrate with flowers and chocolate!

Launching this podcast is proving to be a deeply moving and meaningful experience for me. It’s reminded me that people love to hear honest, human stories about purpose and change.

And my upcoming guest episodes (first one drops next week) have confirmed what I already believed so strongly - that reflection is a powerful tool for learning and integration, and compassionate observation often brings insights and ideas not previously surfaced.

If you’ve listened, I’d love to know what’s resonated most.

And if you haven’t yet, you'll find the link in my bio or the first comment.
