Contrary to popular belief, you actually want to feel stress

You donโ€™t want to be 100% calm and chill throughout the day

The stress response is needed for your survival

For example, if you are in a dangerous situation where you could be attacked. You want your stress response and sympathetic nervous system to switch on so you can either fight or flee.

Not for you to stay in danger and pick flowers.

The issue with stress is when we stay stuck in it long-term because we are unable to regulate our nervous system

Being stuck in the stress response leads to a whole host of chronic health issues due to pro-longed muscle tension and depleted energy resources towards organs.

The good news is you can get out of the stress response anytime by regulating your nervous system.

This is what I help clients do!

I help remove tension in the body which is keeping the nervous system stuck in a stress response.

The client's nervous system then becomes more regulated, helping them to feel calmer and alleviate some of their chronic health issues.

Itโ€™s there to protect us and keep us safe

Itโ€™s kept us alive our entire lives

But when we shame ourselves for feeling stressed and resist feeling it

It stays for longer and grows in intensity

The next time you feel stressed, welcome the sensations and see if you can sit with the discomfort for a little while.
