Most of us don’t realise it…
but the intention we bring into a practice shapes the outcome just as much as the practice itself.

If we arrive trying to fix something,
to get rid of how we feel,
to become something better…
there’s already a quiet pressure in the body.

The system reads that as
something isn’t right here
something needs to change

…and it stays on guard.

But when we come in a little softer…
not to fix, but to meet what’s here,
to listen, to feel, to be present with it…

something shifts.

The breath deepens without force
the body softens without being told
the mind begins to quiet on its own

Not because we made it
but because we allowed it

Sometimes the work isn’t about doing more
it’s about changing the way we arrive ✨

It’s easy to fall into the feeling that something inside us needs fixing.

So we try harder. Searching for the right practice or the breakthrough that might finally make everything settle.

But the body often responds differently. More often it softens through gentleness and repetition, through small moments where we slow down and reconnect with what’s happening inside us.

This is the rhythm we practise together inside the Bear & Bird membership through breath, mindful movement and stillness.

If you feel drawn to explore that work more deeply, you’re very welcome to join us.

Most of what we need… isn’t more information.

It’s somewhere to come back to.

A place to pause…
to move a little…
to breathe…
and just notice how we actually feel.

That’s really what this has become.

A steady space to return to… each week… in a way that feels simple and real.

If you’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately…
or like things have just been a bit full or noisy…
this might be something you need more than you think.

Next month I’ll be hosting “A Conversation with Cacao” at

We’ll gather around the beautiful tables of the newly renovated Piggery to explore this remarkable plant together.

There’ll be a live demonstration of how ceremonial cacao is prepared using a chance to learn a little about its history and benefits, and we’ll share a small cacao ritual together.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums out there! 🤍

Being a parent is one of the most beautiful roles we can have… but it can also be relentless.

The constant questions.
The noise.
The mess.
The endless demands on your time and attention.
Even the strongest nervous systems can feel overwhelmed.

As a parent myself I feel this most days. Our children naturally become our priority, which often leaves very little space for our own wellbeing. But sometimes calm lives in the smallest moments.

A quiet breath.
A pause.
A moment of wonder.

Children have a beautiful way of bringing us back into the present, reminding us of the sense of wonder and magic that lives in the simple things… if we allow the mind to soften and let go of the need to control everything.

The chaos may always be there… but so are the small moments of calm within it ✨

Many of us begin these practices hoping for a big breakthrough, a moment where everything suddenly shifts and we finally feel calmer or clearer.

But sometimes the effort to get there can quietly create more pressure in the body. The nervous system tends to learn in a different way, through repetition and small moments where we slow down enough to notice the breath and the body.

Over time these simple practices begin to send a new message through the system, that it is safe to soften and safe to settle.

This is the rhythm we practise together inside the Bear & Bird membership through breath, mindful movement and stillness. If you feel drawn to explore that work more deeply, you’re very welcome to join us.

Cacao has become an important part of many of the spaces I hold ✨

Sometimes shared during ceremonies, sometimes alongside breathwork, movement or meditation.

The bioactive compounds in cacao gently support the nervous system and the heart, helping people soften, feel grounded and reconnect with their bodies.

I often think of cacao as a plant ally… something that helps create a sense of safety and openness so we can drop out of the busy mind and into presence.

If you’re curious to experience this for yourself, I’m hosting “A Conversation with Cacao” at on Sunday 19th April at 4pm.

And if you’d like to explore ceremonial cacao at home, you can use my ambassador code BEARANDBIRD22 for 22% off your first order at .

After the success of last August, the Bear & Bird Retreat returns this spring! 🌿

On 10.05.26 we gather for a full day experience. A collaboration of practitioners bringing embodied yoga, Qi Gong, movement, breathwork, meditation, sound, sauna and cacao into one shared space.

Think mini festival energy… but curated, grounded and intentional ✨

Different teachers. Different modalities. One shared purpose.
To create a powerful reset for the nervous system and a genuine return to yourself.

Space to move.
Space to soften.
Space to breathe properly.
Space to reconnect with grounded strength.

If you joined us last summer, you already know the feeling.
If you didn’t, this is your invitation 🦋

Spring is opening up and so are we.

Over the coming weeks there are a number of spaces to step out of the noise and back into something steadier. Whether that’s slowing your breath inside the yurt, immersing yourself in heat and cold at The Ember Sessions, walking gently beneath the trees in our Woodland Reset or gathering around cacao in quiet conversation.

Each offering carries the same thread. Nervous system support. Presence. Regulation. A chance to reconnect with grounded strength.

And if you’re looking for something consistent, our weekly members only Zoom sessions continue to offer a steady rhythm from home. A space to slow down, breathe deeply and practise together.

All dates and booking details are on the website. If something here speaks to you, trust that pull.
