For this client, we supplied and installed a comprehensive set of Hörmann UK solutions to meet all their loading and access needs, including:

• Level Entry Door: 1 x Hörmann SPU F42 double-skinned insulated sectional door (RAL 5003 Sapphire Blue) with excellent thermal insulation (1.1 W/m²K), CE marked and tested for wind, water tightness, air permeability, and sound insulation. Features include finger-trap protection, secure locking, and a powerful WA500 3-phase operator with emergency hand chain.

• Loading Dock Doors: 2 x Hörmann SPU F42 double-skinned insulated sectional doors with enhanced insulation (1.9 W/m²K), built-in vision windows, and WA300 single-phase operators with force limit detection and soft start/stop control.

• Dock Levellers: 2 x Hörmann MRS V manually operated externally fitted dock levellers in durable Traffic Black finish, designed for smooth and safe vehicle loading with mechanical support and gas spring counterbalance.

• Dock Shelters: 2 x Hörmann DSS-G flap dock shelters with galvanised steel frames, flexible scissor arm connections, and weather-resistant black flaps and cladding to protect loading bays from the elements.

• Fire Exit Doors: 7 x Outa-Dor general purpose steel door sets finished in Sapphire Blue (RAL 5003), fitted with panic hardware, robust hinges, mineral wool insulation, and low-profile thresholds for safety and energy efficiency.

We recently fitted this stylish composite entrance door for a customer, including full removal and disposal of the existing door and frame. The new door features chrome adjustable hinges, a low silver aluminium threshold, and a white uPVC sill with a reinforced uPVC frame- creating a clean, modern entrance that delivers on both style and performance. Finished in slate grey externally and white internally, this composite door offers a sleek and timeless look that suits a range of home styles.

A look back at this installation- a tidy upgrade combining careful removal and expert fitting.

We supplied cranage and a 12DX powered access platform to assist and supervise the safe removal of a large pair of sliding folding doors, along with associated chains and drive units. Floor tracks were retained in place for future use. In their place, we installed a Hörmann UK Decotherm DD rolling shutter door, offering robust performance and clean, industrial styling.

📏 Opening Size: 7000mm (W) x 7500mm (H)
🛠️ Curtain: Galvanised steel
📐 Bottom Profile & Side Guides: Extruded aluminium
⚡ Operation: 400V 3-phase direct drive operator with low-level emergency hand chain
🎛️ Control Unit: Hörmann A445R – pre-wired, IP65 rated with deadman control & CEE plug (IP44)
All fully wired and commissioned to the client’s 3-phase isolator (supplied by others).
🛠️ Access equipment included: scissor lift and teleporter to support safe and efficient installation.

We also installed a general purpose steel doorset, supplied and installed to suit a structural opening of 1000mm (W) x 2100mm (H), finished in Jet Black (RAL 9005).
