We’ve been making the most of this beautiful hot weather by spending plenty of time outdoors ☀️🌊

Keeping cool with lots of cold drinks and ice lollies while enjoying the fresh sea air, stunning views and great company. Residents have loved socialising together, relaxing in the sunshine and taking in the view of the sea 🍦🥤💙

We also celebrated National Bee Day 🐝 by tasting some delicious local honey and having lovely discussions about the importance of bees and the vital role they play in our environment. A very sweet activity enjoyed by all! 🍯

Days like these are what summer is all about! 🌞

🫖✨ Tea, Tunes & Keeping Active! ✨🫖

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating National Tea Day! Residents enjoyed a relaxing afternoon with a lovely selection of teas, biscuits and plenty of reminiscing together. ☕️💬

To balance out the treats, we also got moving with our active fitness session! From seated exercises and stretches to music and movement, there were lots of smiles, laughter and encouragement all around. 🎶💪

It’s amazing to see everyone supporting one another, staying active and making special memories together. A perfect combination of fitness, friendship and a good cup of tea! 😊🍰

Cocktail hour… with a twist! 🍹✨

Today we enjoyed a wonderful morning of mocktail making, and what fun we had! Residents loved choosing their flavours, mixing ingredients, and of course tasting their delicious creations. 🍓🍍🍊

There were lots of smiles, laughter and great conversations shared together while we sipped our colourful drinks while we listened to our favourite music. ☀️💛

Activities like this are such a lovely way to encourage creativity, independence and social interaction — and they tasted amazing too! Cheers everyone! 🥂

Oh my goodness… where do I begin?! What a brilliant week we have had! ☀️🎉

We have enjoyed wonderful trips out to the seafront and the pub, spent time playing games together and making lots of happy memories.

For Laughter Day we wore our silly hats, enjoyed a visit from Noah who certainly made us all laugh, and even the care team joined in the fun with a good old Okey Cokey! 🤭🎩💃

We tucked into jelly and ice cream for our mid-morning snack while reminiscing, listening to The Laughing Policeman and many other fun tunes from years gone by. 🎶🍦

We also spent time celebrating and reminiscing about VE Day, sharing memories and stories together. 🇬🇧

A huge thank you to Maurice and the Sunshine Girls for the fantastic dancing, music and singing — what a lovely afternoon we had! 🎤🎶

To finish off the week, we enjoyed some of our favourite in-house games and plenty of laughter along the way.

What a wonderful week full of smiles, sunshine and special moments 🫶🏼

This Sunday, our amazing children will be taking part in the school’s Walk the Wight, raising money for the incredible Mountbatten Hospice 💛

Mountbatten is a charity very close to our hearts, and one we have worked closely with over time. More recently, their support to our team has meant so much as we have said goodbye to some very special residents 🫶🏼

We are so proud of:

🌟 Ava May (Trudi’s granddaughter), aged 8, who will be walking an amazing 8 miles — raising money for Mountbatten while also completing her Brownies charity badge.

🌟 Oscar (Claire’s son), aged 4, who will be taking on a brilliant 4 miles from Freshwater in support of this wonderful cause.

Mountbatten truly do an incredible job, supporting so many families across the island.

Good luck to Ava May, Oscar, and everyone taking part — your efforts and support mean the world 🌍

Wow, what an incredible week we’ve had here! And such a busy one too! ☀️

While making the most of this beautiful weather, we’ve enjoyed lots of arts and crafts, and of course our favourite balloon bash – always guaranteed to bring plenty of laughs (especially when the staff join in! 🎈)

We’ve been busy baking, celebrating St George’s Day, spending time out in the garden, and simply relaxing in the sunshine at our leisure.

To top it all off, we had a wonderful coffee morning – such a treat with a variety of very tasty lattes! ☕️

Moments like these are what it’s all about 🫶🏼

👑❤️ Kings & Queens of Hearts ❤️👑

A lovely day filled with baking, laughter, and a sprinkle of love! Our Kings and Queens of Hearts got busy in the kitchen creating some delicious treats – and of course, enjoying them too 🍰

There’s nothing better than the smell of fresh baking and smiles all around. A truly heartwarming day ❤️

🎶 Relaxing, listening to music, and enjoying the simple things we love 💛

There’s nothing better than taking time to unwind, whether it’s with our favourite songs or just being in good company. And of course… plenty of fuss and cuddles for Barnaby when he comes to visit 🐾
