🌱🌞 Spring Has Sprung at Brice Woods! 🌞🌱

The weather has gone from brrrrr to boggy to blazing in a blink — which means it’s TREE PLANTING TIME!
NOW! 🌱🌳

We’re calling on all merry helpers (big and small!) to join us THIS Sunday at 10:30am for a wholesome morning of planting, digging at Brices Woods / Butts Green, Langley, Saffron Walden CB11 4RT.

🎄 Festive Fun at Brices Woods 🎄

⭐️ Join us in the woods for a magical Christmassy Forest School adventure! ⭐️
We’ll be getting creative making natural Christmas decorations, warming up with woodland fun, and—if we fancy it—planting a few trees to spread some cheer for years to come! 🌱🌳

It’s the perfect way to welcome the season: fresh air, muddy boots, and festive crafts surrounded by nature.

We were galloping through the woods on Sunday on our homemade hobby horses (and yes… a camel 😂) crafted from straw and old socks! It was chilly day, but the kids warmed right up once they mounted their noble steeds and tore off down the trail. ❄️🐴🐪

Nothing like a bit of imagination, fresh air, and very questionable sock animals to brighten a cold day! 💚✨

Next week I can’t wait to begin our Christmassy crafts! 🎅🏻🎄 Ho ho ho

💚 As we remember, remember November! 💚 - Join our Family Sunday sessions 💚

We celebrated Bonfire Night in true Forest School style, by making our very own little “guys”! It was all fun and giggles, and turned out sparking chats about the importance of fire safety between the children. 😂🙌

Ever popular, Monster Slop was on the menu once again 🤎 always a favourite.

We also had a blast making a giant skipping rope! The children jumped in, then the adults couldn’t resist.
It was so joyous to see the children’s faces light up as the parents stepped up, being a bit silly and brushing off their ‘boring’! Where kids make the fun and the parents join in! 🥰

We filled our hearts (and our bellies!) with laughter and slightly burnt Welsh cakes - the perfect Forest School treat. ❤️🔥

Last week we had a week off so I could learn some new games in Charlotte's Wood -
Why not wrap up, join in and jump around with some of the favourite games tried and tested by the Suffolk FSA Forest School leaders! 💚🙌🤩🏃😲🫶

🍁 Another wonderful day at Brices Woods Forest School! 🍁

We made the most of the glorious weather — drilling pumpkins , swinging through the trees, and whipping up lots of lovely treats in the mud kitchen. The children showed off their whittling skills, flung acorns at the old favourite Tin Pan Alley, and had so much fun playing our Ladybird Hide and Seek game 🐞!

There’s no better way to start a Sunday morning than out in the fresh air, in the woods, free to play, explore, and have fun. 💚

🌳 What a wonderful session in Brices Woods on Sunday! 🌳

We had such a lovely time celebrating together — tucking into chocolate cake baked inside oranges on the fire (a real treat 🍊🔥), doing plenty of sawing, and creating even more brilliant conker masterpieces! 🌰✨

It was so special to have so many of the wonderful folks in the woods who’ve helped make Brices Woods the warm, welcoming, and creative place it is today. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined in — the laughter, teamwork, and joy made it a day to remember. We can’t wait for our next session later this week where I will be pulling out all the old much loved favourites! I hope to see you back in the woods for more fun and forest adventures! 🍁🍂
