Starting from St Leonards Sandridge, Sunday’s walk was an extended loop alongside the Arboretum across open countryside before reaching Symonshyde Wood. Muddy conditions after yesterday’s rain but the sun eventually shone and the Striders completed a 6.5 mile route.😁

Snow, sleet and freezing rain but once we got walking we enjoyed a dry invigorating Total Body Walk through Highfield Park. Glad to be outside getting the benefits of walking with poles. 😊

A fabulous sunny, cold morning on the Rothamsted Estate to enjoy our Monday Motivator. Taking advantage of the lovely weather the group practised technique and intervals of pace walking, increasing the heart rate.
Exercise in cold weather strengthens heart capacity by promoting blood circulation and stimulates calorie consumption as you will use more calories when it's cold to warm yourself up. 🥵
