Merlin MS Centre

The centre has been developed after seven years of fundraising primarily to assist people living with Multiple Sclerosis, it is not exclusive and welcomes anyone who may benefit from its services and is open to all. The centre environment is a warm and welcoming haven that "doesn't feel like a medical centre". Families and friends will be encouraged to play an active part in the social environment

Cornwall has one of the highest incidence of MS in the country. The Merlin MS Centre aims to support those living with this incurable condition by offering a range of subsidised clinical and complementary therapies to those whose lives are affected. The charity is not supported by the government so therefore relies on fundraising, donations, room hire, grants and gifts in memory to continue its work. The centre offers -

A large relaxing area is available for people to meet and to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. This large area overlooks stunning views of the countryside. Phase two of the centre has also allowed us to build a open-plan kitchen area as well as a shop area. A large well equipped gymnasium, used principally for physiotherapy. It has up to date equipment which includes just about everything, Levo chair, Anti Gravity Treadmill, medimotion machine, treadmill, parallel bars, Oswestry Standing Frame, wobble boards, physio balls etc. Lancelot, Guinevere and Arthur. Three multipurpose rooms to accommodate a range of therapies. Rooms can be hired out privately. Please contact the Centre Manager for more details. Three pressure chambers providing oxygen, (Oxygen Treatment). A fully equipped conference room is also available for hire
