🌾 Farm Adventures in Pre School! 🌾

During group time, the children excitedly shared photos from their family visits to the farm. We had beautiful discussions about the different animals we saw and what they were doing, from grazing cows to playful lambs! 🐄🐑

Inspired by our conversations, we headed out into the garden where the children drew their favourite farm animals, carefully placing them into different 'paddocks'. 🎨🌿

🐑🌾 Our new topic has begun… Life on the Farm! 🌾🐑

Today in Pre School, the children got hands-on as they used their gross motor skills to “shear” the sheep. The children had so much fun practicing their coordination, building strength, and working together through imaginative play.

We can’t wait to explore more about farm life over the next two weeks! 🚜🐄

Today Pre School have been busy learning all about how plants grow and what they need to thrive 🌱

We explored the importance of sunlight, water and soil, and had some lovely discussions about how we can take care of living things.

The children then enjoyed planting their own rocket seeds, carefully filling pots with soil and sprinkling in the seeds. We can’t wait to watch them grow and observe the changes over time!

On Friday, Pre School went on a lovely leaf hunt, exploring the outdoors and collecting a variety of shapes, colours and textures 🍂

We then used our leaves to practise our cutting skills ✂️ The children showed great focus and care as they learned how to hold and use scissors safely, building their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
