I often speak to people who think reduced hearing is just “one of those things” or "it happens with age", but it's really not!

Sometimes it’s simply a build-up of ear wax that we can easily fix with the right treatment, so it's easy to prevent it from happening again.

Over the last few months, I've had some new followers and customers, so I wanted to reintroduce myself.

My name is Beth, your local ear care practitioner 👋

I opened Penwith Ear Care here in beautiful St Ives around 4 years ago. Prior to this I worked as a Health Care Assistant in GP surgeries. I reluctantly was sent onto an ear irrigation course, this very quickly sparked my interest in ear health.

I then went on to train in , the gold standard and safest way to remove ear wax.

Fast forward a few years, and here we are!

Ear care is not a huge priority for people, but I've found many who struggle with blocked ears, hearing issues and more, but they don't know what to do about it!

Penwith Ear Care is here to offer gentle, professional and affordable ear care treatments right here in your local community.

Did you know...

👂 Wax comes out of our ears naturally by eating and chewing
👂 Ears are self cleaning
👂 They never stop growing!
👂Swimmers and surfers are at risk of “Surfer’s Ear”
👂 As we get older our ear wax becomes harder and drier = more likely to build up and block the ear canal.

That’s why adults may notice:
🔸 Muffled hearing
🔸 Ringing or buzzing (tinnitus)
🔸 Trouble with hearing aids

Well, that's a wrap!
