⁉️Why cardio ⁉️
Not on prep , not on a cut so then why ?

Before I decided to go on prep - which’s around after the first lockdown- I was chasing to be lean at all the times .
I was lifting the weights but I wasn’t eating enough to build the muscle I wanted and doing a lot of cardio .
Once I started to prep , the pressure it put on me , triggered my binge eating disorder. So cardio for being lean swapped the place with extra cardio for punishment…

Long story short, cardio was either my punishment or chasing a dream in a wrong way …

Now I’m older , wiser with a better headspace and knowledge.

Cardio right now for me to ;
✅Clear my head
✅Keep me fit
✅Have a better cardiovascular health
✅Not feel like I have done nothing on my rest day

If you are feeling the way I used to do , may be it’s time to figure out what you really want for yourself and your body , make a peace with yourself and do the right thing for the right reasons 👊🏼

⁉️How to hit your daily protein goal ?

Especially when you are new to the calorie counting and macros word, getting enough protein without over killing your calorie count can get tricky .
Here’s my advice to you…

✅Always count your calories ahead for the next day or upcoming week so then then you know what you are all organised and not left it to chance.

✅Count your each meal , based on lean protein sources suck as chicken breast , fat free Greek yogurt, eggs (whites are the pure lean protein sources) or tofu ( if you are vegan )

✅Aim to eat small amounts and more often with at least 20 grams of protein. You can even get a low carb / sugar protein bar to satisfy your sweet cravings.

✅Enjoy what you like to eat all within moderations.

Career update 🥹🧿

Today I have done my last ever shift as a fitness coach at 😔 Which means I will no longer teach classes or be the person on shift . However I will still be on the gym floor as the loudest person you can find cos I will still be a full time Personal Trainer at PureGym Eccles

I made the decision because
🧿I have a big team of people where I need to pay attention to. As their development and transformations are my priority

🧿I want to spare some time to focus on my future career plans which is moving into fully online coaching by the end of 2024

🧿I want to have a family with Ben and spare some time for him rather than working myself to the ground

🧿I want to start my YouTube channel ( keep saying that for years 😂)

If you are looking to work with me - I will still be here and if you ever need help or got any questions, please ask away ❤️

Let me introduce myself 🙌
I have some new followers and it’s time for a refresher to talk about who I was and who I am now .

I started my fitness journey about 6 years ago after a bad break up . I was mentally abused by an alcoholic for 12 years and just walked out of the door with a suitcase and 2 cats . Never looked back.

Back in the day I was a successful , award winning restaurant- bar manager however I got into the habit of drinking everyday a bottle or two wine ( until I fall a sleep on the sofa) one day I woke up and decided to make a change , joined the gym , started to book myself into the group exercise classes and fell in love with compound workouts.
I knew what I wanted out of my fitness journey- which was having a nice shaped body . So I started to train on the gym floor by watching yo tube videos , started to read about the nutrition and hypertrophy and strength training.

Lifting weights and eating a balanced diet became a big part of my life .

Did a bodybuilding competition last year and came second , worked with amazing online coaches to coach me through my prep and learned a lot from them as a person and coach.

Been a personal trainer for over 3 years now with a big online and in person client base , helping others to build healthy habits and transform their bodies .

I always say that you need to be patient when it comes to achieving your goals.

I started from nowhere as a skinny woman and it took me years to build the shape I got now.

I still got a long way to do and I always want more and better cos I don’t see why not ?

As says - you don’t have to be great to start - you have to start to be great!

This client of mine was in the studio - for months and months at every Thursday night classes I used to teach but she was getting nowhere. No weight loss - no strength or muscle gain.
we are after 3 months together celebrating our new low for years 🥳🎉

When the age kicks you in the teeth despite how young you feel 😂

I didn’t want to talk about it until I’m a bit more sure but here we are .
This child headed old woman is getting into menopause 😩

Been 3 months now since I started to notice the changes however the doctors are booked for next month to get some tests done.

All those hormonal changes , having bipolar disorder stresses me millions . Sleepless nights are the bonus . So eventually all those affecting my weight loss . My digestion & water retention constantly up and down and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Countdown is still on but at this stage I’d rather be slightly quiet - so then my mood swings won’t be all over my stories 😂 I don’t like them 🙄

If you are reading this , please remember that time goes fast . Do not pause the things you want to do before it’s too late. Saying this cos I always wanted to be a mum but I always had a reason to not be one. Here we are before I even noticed …

Do today’s job today , go on trips , live your life rather than just hanging it there till “ THE TOME IS RIGHT” cos it never will be .

❣️Here’s some tips for you 💪🏽

🙏Start to move more . Getting at least 8 to 10 k steps every day will help you burn some extra calories .

🙏Do some cardio . Between 20-30 mins a day ( for 4 or 5 times as a week )will help your caloric output to increase as well as helping you with your cardiovascular health.

🙏 Start a calorie deficit diet . There are many calorie counting apps would help you calculate the calories you need to have to be able to lose weight . Track all your food as well as your drinks .

🙏Drink more water ! Your body needs 2 lt a day to support bodily functions. You need to drink an extra lt for the each hour you exercise to replace the water you sweat. Water also helps you with hunger and fat burn.

⁉️How do I find the motivation to get up so early and go to the gym ?
☑️I don’t have the motivation- I got the discipline 💪🏽

❣️Motivation is the reason behind your actions and your goal .
Your motivation could be ;
🏁Fat loss
🏁Having a shaped body
🏁Being strong
🏁Getting confident on the gym floor
🏁Learning new exercises
🏁Fixing your mobility issues

However discipline is sacrificing the things you love doing such as ;
❣️Going to bed early instead of hanging out with your phone to stalk on people for hours
❣️Sparing your time to count your calories for the week and plan all your food ahead so then you can stick to it
❣️Giving up on your beloved cheeky after work drink and reducing it down to the occasions
❣️Giving up on that full fat food and make sensible choices
❣️Instead of eating bags of crisps or biscuits at all the times - be sensible with how much you consume
❣️Being focused on the end goal and tick all the boxes daily.

I have coached many clients who signed up with me - asking for motivation . The only ones who stayed consistent have been the only ones who had results. All I did teach them was consistency and small changes they need to make without giving up on their social life or other things.
