At Clouds House, every part of daily life is designed to support healing - even the food on the table.

Much of the fresh fruit and vegetables our kitchen team cooks with are grown by clients themselves.

For many, time spent in the garden offers a quiet space to reconnect, reflect, and build confidence in a way that feels calm and supportive. Alongside equine therapy, art therapy and our wider programme, it’s another way we help people feel valued, heard and connected to others.

Community is at the heart of Clouds House - and it grows here, every day.

Recovery is possible and it can start with one honest moment.

Anna’s story reminds us that addiction doesn’t look the same for everyone, and that with the right support, real and lasting change can happen.

What an absolute treat to have so many informed professionals all in one space. Discussing important topics such as harm deduction, high quality, low cost therapy, trauma informed assessments, neurodiversity, equine therapy,

and.. a panel discussion on GLP1(monjaro) and its potential role in addiction treatment. Mind blowing thoughts.. huge potentials.. challenging of beliefs.. and such rich conversation. The quality of dialogue, from every corner of the room, was exceptional. Extensive trials are underway in the US, so this isn't likely to happen any time soon here.. or could it?

Grateful, as ever, to Lou Lebentz and Jodie Mainstone for generous behind-the-scenes consultation and shared wisdom. Our capacity to truly reach individuals is always expanded through collective intelligence.. surely.

In this video, Stephen, a Clouds House graduate, shares how opening up for the very first time became a turning point in his recovery journey. For him, being heard, held, and understood by the Clouds community created the space he needed to begin healing.

At Clouds House, connection is at the heart of everything we do. When someone feels safe enough to talk about their experiences, recovery becomes possible.

Thank you, Stephen, for your honesty. Your story will help others find their voice too.

We recently gathered at the church in East Knoyle with the local village and current residents of Clouds House to honour freedom, change, and possibility through a moving carol service.

As this season so often does, it brought us back to the why.. hearing graduates speak of families reunited, of loved ones returned from the grip of addiction. Quiet miracles, spoken beautifully.

In true and generous spirit, previous Chair of trustees David Bernstein shared his lived experience, seamlessly bridging recovery and local community, reminding us that sobriety is not only possible, but can be stunningly abundant.

Tradition held its place too. Actor David Charkham performed Christmas poetry, lovely mince pies, festive conversation, and the presence of longstanding figures such as Michael Rawlinson.. living reminders of the deep history Clouds House carries, and the many lives it has helped shape in its 40 years.

It was heartening to see our esteemed CEO, MIKE TRACE, and our woman at the helm, Director of Recovery Julie Muir, present in full support and spirit. ✨️🙏

Staff had a wonderful afternoon connecting with the who play such a vital role in our equine-assisted intervention.

Hearing from Laura, our skilled facilitator, brought to life the profound benefits of this work.. the calm presence of the horses, their attunement, and the way they invite honesty, personal insight and regulation.

This intervention has been so well received that we’ve extended the number of sessions available.

For many, particularly those who find group work initially challenging, horses can offer a bridge; building confidence, deepening insight, and nurturing emotional regulation. In turn, these new ways of relating can go on to support a different level of engagement in group therapy.

Fun was had 😊

Yesterday brought some wonderful connection with as he dropped off some precious cargo.

Many will know Harry for his commitment to daily ice baths, but what stands out most is his openness about living in recovery from . That honesty, combined with his discipline, has inspired thousands.. proof that change and consistency can ripple far wider than we often imagine.

Cold water immersion itself is gaining real recognition for supporting mental health: regulating mood, easing anxiety and depression, and building resilience through the simple discipline of showing up daily. Beyond the science, it creates space for clarity, grounding, and a reset many of us deeply need.

Harry, thank you for the inspiration. Until next time!

We’re proud to celebrate Tracy Blackmore’s 16th recovery birthday during

Tracy began her journey with us as a counsellor, and today she is part of our senior leadership team as Business Development Manager. Over the years she has grown into a colleague whose wisdom, kindness, and professionalism inspire us. She embodies the values we hold at both Clouds and Forward, and her lived experience shines through, making her support and care truly one of a kind.

Tracy shows us what recovery looks like in action: compassion, humility, hope, and tenacity. We are deeply grateful to walk alongside her and to share in the joy of this milestone.

Here’s to 16 years and beyond, and to the countless lives Tracy continues to touch.

Happy recovery birthday, Tracy 🥳✨️
